It’s because James Woods is Hades’ VA in almost, if not all, pieces of Disney media featuring the character (thanks in part due to clever contract negotiations) and he‘s classified a as being worse than Hitler in today’s woke circles.

Over two years and they have made little to no progress. They are still doing lighting tests, for crying out loud. Look how stiff poor Naomi is, like a manniquen.
KO-OP is a prime example why wokesters make abysmal workforce, if left unattended. They have terrible work ethic and don't take the task seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost interest at this point and some of the devs treat it more like a hobby. I bet decision making is non-existent as well, because their ideology forbids strong leadership, which just makes development even more sluggish and possibly causes internal drama.
Part of me still wants to see this game finished, just to laugh at how bad it is.

I bought Super Mario All Stars 3D for Mario Sunshine. Smash Bros is great. Even better if you have someone to play against. I have it for the Switch but I refuse to pay Nintendo to use the internet I already pay for so it's single player content and AI controlled bots for me. Same with Mario Kart.

The only slightly 'woke' game I know of that came out with unorthodox working parameters was Deadcells. Twinmotion is one of those weird ass worker's co-ops.

This is probably the worst advertisement/“updates” I’ve seen for a game in a while.
You already know this trashfire will never release. I wish it did so I could shit on the final result, but that doesn’t seem like it’ll be the case. At least I can ride along until it’s eventual cancellation.

They all look extremely stiff. I think the only thing that doesn't is that storyboard sketch of Fang with the guitar. Whatever puppetry program they have going on for their (mostly pretend) animation is just awful.

Yeah but the difference here is. Cuphead devs care about what they are making, they make sure it fun, and put real thought and love into every part of it, even the animation has more love in it then the lives of the parasites that make games like GVH.
Where GVH is about being gay above all else, and is made by people with less passion for games, and more of a passion for sexual identity. We already know how lazy that crowd of people are.
Even considering trying to compare the two is heresy of the highest order.
