While this early version is way more shitpost-y than the final game, its a lot closer to the final game than I expected. Some exact lines survived and the general concept is still there.
This version can be dated back to at least August 22nd, 2020, bit over 4 months before the initial release of Snoot Game.
While the old Anon Sprites are pretty bad, some of the others are really close to the final ones, just not finished.
I have yet to play through this old version, but what little I did play seemed nearly 1 to 1 with the released version. It lacks the intro to fang at the school steps, instead directly leading to the bench scene, and the text during the initial concert is different.
There is a folder in the Image folder called "Fang Gang" and it has some early sprite sheets, won't post them all here but worth a look if you download the zip.

Well, finally i got to play IWHG, got ending 2 in my first run...
No idea what happened, i'm pretty sure i only made one wrong choice Defending Olivia from Mia's harassment instead of just ignoring Mia, I'll replay the game and make a couple different choices, to see if i can get ending 3 at the very least.

For ending 3 you need to have it in reverse. And 4 is like in snoot game. But instead of shutting up and listening, you have to actively ask questions in under rain scene. And at dinner with Liz you need to go after Olivia, ask her how she deals with situations and tell both of them that they are in the wrong.

Yeah, i've read a guide, i know how to get the other endings. But still.
Fucking E2 got me entirely by surprise, i was aiming for ending 3 in my first run (since E3 in Snoot Game was my favorite ending), i was like "i'm allowed to make a couple mistakes" i thought i was doing everything mostly right, but things went south as soon as that winter dance started. Olivia's speech was a complete disaster, and she took her "i won't let my disability to define me!" attitude to the point she turns down any opportunity to let her work have any exposure, because she believes they're being condescending with her.
And because of that she lives with Inco in a shitty apartment making barely above minimum wage, and her relationship with Inco is doomed to end badly. I guess the lesson Olivia will learn in E4 is that not everyone around her is a condescending prick.

There's a lot of fics that try to "fix" E2 in Snoot Game, i wonder what they will do for E2 in IWHG.

You know, it is kind of weird how both Snoot Game and IWHG somehow didn't became big in the furry community. I personally believe that since the characters in both games are very human, meaning they feel like real people with real problems, and both games don't pull any punches when it comes with dealing with serious problems, i guess that helped to keep some of the most retarded furries at bay.
It is for the best, the fewer furries trying to latch onto IWHG the better, i still remember when trannies tried to "claim" Pizza Tower as theirs.

I saw a tranny fur seething about Snoot game because "The game treats LGBT people as just going through a phase". I've also observed a type of furry who seethes if there are human characters in their media thus they really dislike seeing furry characters with male humans.

There's a reason they can't seem to eject the zoophiles and paedophiles from their midst - they've always touted the fandom as being inclusive and all-embracing, so much so that a straight cis furry is an incredible rarity and majority of the fandom openly identifying as some flavour of queer and autistic

As to why furries as a whole have rejected Snoot game, refer to the "inclusive" statement above.
Snoot and Wani also don't really cater to furs because there's no blatant fetishism, only decent characters with designs that would be considered boring by most furry standards.

As far as I can observe, the furry fandom hasn't outright rejected Snootgame or IWHTG, but as already stated, the stupider and more degenerate furries have thankfully kept their distance.

Most of the furry fans of Cavemanon's work probably don't crow too much about it just due to how they'd get shunned over supporting those heckin evil 4chan chuds and their transphobia. Which, as pointed out, is ironic given the furry community's projected image of being totally accepting, but not even bothering to see what Snoot's story is actually presenting when it comes to Fang's identity.
