Fuckin' hell...

Beyond Blue is an Apple Arcade game that was also just recently ported to consoles. That's a full 3d quasi-open world diving sim.

There's really no excuse for their low effort shit. Two years spent writing the story just doesn't hold up as wisely spending your time.

Yeah, there's been quite a few titles on Arcade that have gone on to make console debuts, all of which are a hell of a lot prettier then this thing.

What the Golf? came out recently for Switch, Shantae and the Seven Sirens came out on basically everything else, Beyond a Steel Sky's being teased, Exit the Gungeon's come out... Hell, there's other visual novels being teased that look better, like Necrobarista.

While this just looks and feels like a game that would require Firefox and Flash to run, not a fucking PS4.

Dude steam is full of porn VN with better animation, storylines and models. No woke bullshit.
Play being a DIK, its legit good
That's kinda a thing ain't it? There's plenty of VN porn games, however, none porn VN games are actually a small number. Doesn't make this game any better though.

The narrative director wrote for Kotaku and it's a genre that the journo crowds eats up. They are going to protect this thing.

Hm, honestly I think this game will make some cash even without Kotaku's needs. I mean, there's no such thing as bad press, this game already got attention via "Lulz! Let's meme this shit!" and if the devs weren't paranoid they would have prob embraced it and rode that train. There will be prob 3 types who'll, in the end, will get this game though highly doubt it'll be on the PS4/5 but def on steam. There will be people who'll just get it for the "lulz" to see how bad/mediocre it is, there will be those who'll buy it because they do wanna support it and there will be those who'll buy it because they ignored all this shit and just saw the game on the steam page and prob got curious.

Well there's yer problem.

God almighty I can't wait for this game to both literally and figuratively crash and burn.
Honestly, the only way this would happen if this game didn't sell many copies. But, since it'll be on steam and I doubt they need to meet a large number this game will prob make its money back. Again, there's no such thing as bad press all it did was give the game more attention, so now you'll prob will have people who'll wanna see how cliched and bad it is, you'll prob have people who genuinely will wanna support it aaaaaaand then you'll have those to whom all the drama went over their heads, they just saw it on steam and went "Oh hey, wonder what this is". But, as I say this it will also depend at what price they'll be selling it on steam.

So pirate it and distribute it freely. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing folks tweet google doc links of the game. All behind 3 VPNs, curtains, and a 3-inch solid steel door, of course.

Also, if I know retard artists like I know retard artists, they will charge a stupid amount of money. Because they're retarded and don't know anything about market research or consumer enticement.

Hm, I highly doubt many people will go out of their way to pirate this game. It doesn't have the same grab as say NiTW that least drew people in with its art style and setting. Though, you may be right on the retarded prices, since from what I saw the max one charges for a fairly good or decent VN game ranges only at 19.99$, which lets the sellers chop down the game to like 11.99$ during sales if I'm not mistaken. But a game like this sadly doesn't approach that price range and would have probably worked better at least at 11$ maybe.

Yeah, I'll just wait for the inevitable cringe compilation. Even people who want to experience the whole thing can just watch a longplay, what are they gonna miss out on, the "cinematic minigames"? Yeah, right.

Eh, semantics... Dragons are really nothing more than Dinosaurs with wings.

Unless you're Asian, in which Dragons are nothing more than Snakes with hands, feet, and goh-t's
A pterodactyl is a dinosaur with wings.

A pterodactyl is a dragon?

More people tend to care about when the non-porn VN games are adapted into anime franchises anyhow.

The game's backgrounds are rather pretty and there's a few character designs that look alright, but the fact that they never showed any gameplay in the trailer and seem to be actively dodging any questions about it throws up a ton of red flags. If a game developer is dodging around actually showing off what makes their video game a video game, that's a terrible sign for the product.
