I've said this in a different thread, SJWs have no empathy and want the world to revolve around them, their made-up identities and coerce or force people to join in. They have no means to put themselves in other people's shoes and empathise with other people's lives and struggles. "It's all about me!" they shout from the rooftops.

Gonna admit, I can't empathise with people: people who have no human emotions, original thoughts or an end goal in life, just a lump of labels.

It really does greatly bother me how insanely narcissistic SJWs are, it's always about what they want and the thought that others may want something different and have every right to that never even crosses into their minds.

I think the issue falls Epic would only step in if this game got actual interest from the audience.

Okay, for this, it's worth going into the past of Ko Op games.

The second, Winding Worlds, is a much more baffling game to me. It's about solving puzzles on tiny planets you can spin around... except you spin it solely by making vertical swipes, and do any other mechanics by making horizontal swipes. There are also puzzle mechanics, where you swap between various states with a few specific swipes, and the only difficulty is finding the right combination. The puzzles are almost insultingly easy, and most of the difficulty comes from fighting the awkward control scheme. I've clipped to what probably counts as a cinematic puzzle.

I did a idle search for it, out of curiosity, and it surprisingly has a shitton of reviews compared to anything else on Arcade, nearing 1000, when the norm's more like a couple of hundred.

The press release/wankfest they did says they released it to help during the pandemic, and were hurridly (horridly?) developing it so...

Beyond Blue is an Apple Arcade game that was also just recently ported to consoles. That's a full 3d quasi-open world diving sim.

There's really no excuse for their low effort shit. Two years spent writing the story just doesn't hold up as wisely spending your time.

Also since this was made in canada there's always been issues with their government grants because people use them for money laundering and other forms of garbage practices. There's people who have started a studio and then crashed it once the project got somewhat funded and they ran off with the money 18 times in a row.

I think its less about making use of the hardware and more that Sony threw a dart at a random indie game, just so they can go "Hey look, we arent just about Triple A projects" and said dart landed on this game.

This. It's more in line with Japanese corporate culture that "LGBTQ good for pr. Buy/stan LGBTQ thing." They ended up with this game because they decided it fit the bill and that was probably the last that Sony's senior leadership actually heard about this debacle.
