You should be fine.before I make a mistake, can anyone tell me if I'm stupid for going for a 5600g instead of a 5600x? Reason why is because I want something that can post in case my GPU fails and I don't have to wait days before using my computer again
I don't know for sure (someone who knows better should correct me) since I've never had a APU, but I think you sacrifice a little performance for on board graphics. Unless you're doing major CPU heavy work loads all of the time, you shouldn't really notice the difference.
The main problem with the 5600g is that it's Vega graphics. ie. You're looking at low end 1080p gaming at best. ETAPrime uses them a lot in his small form factor builds and they are often in mini PCs.
Provided you know what you're getting into, it shouldn't be a problem. Unless there's driver problems or something I don't know about.
