GPUs & CPUs & Enthusiast hardware: Questions, Discussion and fanboy slap-fights - Nvidia & AMD & Intel - Separe but Equal. Intel rides in the back of the bus.

I think it's "cyberpunk" af to be taking all of these dead and broken GPUs, reviving them, and giving them more VRAM. I wish everywhere had more of a scene like that.
the problem with the black market is that they snip out functioning gpu's.
the IP/cuckright shit is gay and i couldn't give a single shit but it's basically GPU Clipping, especially when you look at the prices.

nvidia/amd has some gay cuckright shit where you can't mod your GPU, hardly repair it if you find the memory modules 4sale from alibaba, it's ultra fucking retarded.

Might as well ask here since I don't have much interest on it as I'm been playing 2D games lately.
I have a RTX 2070, I'm been eying the Sapphire PULSE RX 9070 XT, right now is only 80€ over retail,, should I dip?
Don't really have much use for it right now, but GPUs don't seem to be getting any better other than the software side, so I have no idea. I just have the money and that's it.

They're supposed to start dropping in price in a couple of months. But if that ends up being true is another story. They're supposed to be 600€ right? So I guess 12% over MSRP is almost acceptable. Then again the Pulse is the most barebones budget version of the 9070 XT.

Since you said you have nothing to use it for I'd just hold off and see if the price decrease ends up being true.

I went from an rx 590 to a 3060 and it felt like i wasted my money. really mostly because jumping from low to high settings in modern game engines doesn't actually make games look any better if anything it just makes them more visually confusing. when you run them at 60+ fps it just makes the weird anti-aliasing hacks they're using really jarring because temporal antialiasing only works at low framerates

Are there any games you can't play acceptably right now on a 2070? If so, spending just 80 eurobux over isn't bad. The time spent waiting for price drops to MSRP probably isn't worth 80 euros of headaches.

If you're not having any issues with your current card though, I'd stay put. No sense spending money on upgrading when we're probably on the precipice of a GPU price crash.

Need a better keyboard and mouse. What yall think? I came down to the G502X and a keyboard from Wooting. There have got to be better mice out there though.

lol
lmao even
you forget to mention it's only for the the series that cannot gaytrace or generate fake frames.
AMD launches Radeon RX 7400, designed for ‘advanced gaming’ with 43W GPU power
RX 7400 and Radeon Pro W7400 are official, but they are OEM-only and irrelevant.
OEM probably chinkenese or for shitty office pc's where people will use grok o algo in order to let you play compfaggot games since 8GB vram and all being optimal for compfag gaymes.

I could use some recommendations for a gaming rig/laptop (preferably pre-built since I'm retarded) that's relatively affordable and efficient. I'm not gonna be doing anything too hardcore on it but I would like to have something with capability.

Unless you travel a lot I can't think of a reason to recommend a gaming laptop.

As for prebuilts, Gamers Nexus has given positive reviews for Thermaltake, Maingear, Starforged, and Powerspec. I'm fairly certain there are services that let you customise more of the components, since a lot of prebuilts have some pretty strange part combinations.

Falcon Northwest is where it’s at.

For true OEMs, the only ones I have personal experience with and can recommend are Lenovo Legion and HP Omen. But only go for them if they're offering a good deal. Lenovo has never treated me wrong and their systems are decent quality, but they're still OEM slop which you should not be paying full price for.

Otherwise, Cyberpower does a lot of affordable commodity builds if you live in the US and you can find them at places like Walmart and Best Buy. Do not buy anything with a GPU that has 8 GB or less of VRAM.

Don't buy a gaming laptop. You're going to be basically paying Mac prices for anything good except the build quality will be trash.

What kind of budget do you have?

well shieeeet i might add up to you by saying @Somewhat Spacey should buy a beelink or something on that level of a mini pc and carry a portable hdmi monitor, especially the 8500G minipc one due to decent performance, way better than dealing with a laptop hassle but the weight of the combined stuff might be a problem.

I'd like to keep it under $1500, and thanks guys for cementing the fact that gaming laptops are shit into my head lol I have always been weary of them but like I said my knowledge does not go very far with computers.
