GPUs & CPUs & Enthusiast hardware: Questions, Discussion and fanboy slap-fights - Nvidia & AMD & Intel - Separe but Equal. Intel rides in the back of the bus.

Are the low-end Quadros even worth considering or should I just buy a gayming-tier GeForce at that point?
For gaming, not really, for certain professional software, sure. One benefit for general use is the uniformity of the output ports. All miniDP while the equivalent low-end $100 GeForce might have a total of three outputs: VGA, DVI and HDMI. Pain in the ass if you want to run multiple displays.

A couple of generations old Intel i5 HP/Dell desktop(Optiplex or HP Z[number]) will be under $300, probably less if you go for small form factor or usff. You can easily build on the mini-tower versions, add more RAM, SSD, better PSU and a graphics card as time passes.

The motherboard will be designed to do exactly what the computer requires of it and it won't be laid out physically like a retail motherboard that allows you to easily put in any other PC part you can buy at retail. I know Dell uses BTX instead of the standard ATX for their case and mounting so you will be tied to the motherboard and case as well.

This is a guy that buys office computers, upgrades them and sells them as gaming systems. He's a bit clumsy and boring but he's made videos showing upgrade paths on a million different office computers and it can be a useful reference.

Its baffling to me how out of hand things have gotten. Can they really even turn a profit with these kinds of mining setups? Mining is notorious for having poor returns these days, and the money to buy all these laptops, especially with supply shortages, is a massive investment. I know third worlders have better prospects when it comes to profiting off mining, but where would these pajeets and chinks even get the money to create these mining setups. The whole reason its even viable in these countries is because they're all poor as shit.

Supposedly with China part of it is because it's a way to get money out of the country and into a different currency. Spending 13000000 million yuan($2 mil) to get $1.2 million in non-chinese currency is worth it in the eyes of some, those are just made up numbers but I have read about all kinds of insane ways to cheat the system and get money out in the past. The limit otherwise is transferring out $40k a year for private individuals but I might be mistaken.

If you look closely at the this card you would find that this GPU was WAY AHEAD OF ITS TIME. I firmly believed it was deliberately throttled (via bus) to keep it from out performing and cutting into their other cards.

I had one. It was incredible for what it could do at the time and easy on the voltage as well.

They can increase the Base and boost clock easily from the Standard Ti's bought in 2016 because they have other cards such as the 1050 3gb with higher clock speeds.

Also Anyone in China could increase the memory bandwith as well as change out the memory to increase performance as well

Finally and I fucking do not give one shit about those asshole apoligists. you CAN increase the memory interface slightly as well.

These little things can make the 1050ti a very very viable option IF THEY KEEP IT CHEAP.

But I know Nvidia well. They won't do the changes as stated. Just keep the basics and charge a profit.

BTY. I bought my 1050ti during the 2016 mining crisis for $155.00. You can use that for reference.

Celeron or Athlon? I know AMD is better on the high end but there's not much talk about poorfag chips

I know Athlon has better integrated graphics but idk about the other stuff.

Np, I always try to shill for superflower when I can.

Too many ppl neglect psu choice without realizing a funky psu will cripple a system. I'd say it's the most important choice.
I managed to get my hands on both a G2 and G3 1000W SuperNOVA. The second-gens, I know are trustworthy, but it’s a refurb. The third-gen is new in box. Which one should I use and which should I send back? Any real differences between these two?

I'd probably keep the G3, if the cost wasn't wildly different. I've never worked with one, but from what I've heard they're more compact than the G2. Also it's new for what its worth.

How good is Iris Xe? Is it comparable with AMD's Vega iGPUs?

I've heard it's about as powerful as a desktop GT 1030.
