In Spanish, people writing things literally as how they pronounce them, but their pronunciation being a variant ("seseo") of the original, so instead of things like "yo hice", they'll write "yo hise".

That pronunciation is accepted, but you cannot change how the word is written, in the previous example, the latter being wrong.

When that happens, you know with 95% of certainty that the one who wrote that is from South America.

What's wrong with this?
The word "mentor" comes from an ancient Greek hero named "Mentor". The "-or" at the end of "mentor" is part of the hero's name, and not the suffix "-or" as in "actor" (a person who acts) or "calculator" (a gadget that calculates).

The suffix "-ee" is used to denote the recipient rather than the doer ("-er"). For example, "trainee" (compare "trainer" and the verb "to train"), and "employee" (compare "employer" and the verb "to employ").

The usage of this suffix in "mentee" is a misanalysis of the noun "mentor" as "someone who ments", which, again, isn't how the word "mentor" is structured at all. Educated people know this. But apparently letting educated people define how English works ain't woke, so here we are today.

Where did you see someone use "mentee" instead of "mentor"? Whoever said that should know "mentee" is the person receiving advice and guidance from a "mentor."

The newspeak you see nowadays pisses me off: "unalive", etc... Imagine someone close to you gets killed in a horrific manner and some idiot makes a video about how they got "unalived".
this, so much this. It's like they're making fun of it especially when they're talking with that retarded short form content accent

No one's doing that. I'm referring to usage of the word "mentee" in general.

Elderly people who have to break up words with so many periods.

They'll...talk like...this
Sometimes it's two periods, three or even more. I guess it's to convey thought processing?

That came about to get around video sharing algorithms. Creators have noticed that using words like "killed", "murdered", or "committed suicide" made it more likely that fewer people would see it (or in the worst-case scenario, block it from being seen).

"Self-entitled". Is there another person sharing your body? Who else would you be entitled for?

Less/fewer and further/farther. When people say things like "work less hours". Annoyed.

"Take it off of the table."
"off" will suffice. No need for "off of".

Also, Bongs pronouncing H as Haitch. No one in British TV or film said Haitch before 2000.

The singular they. Not for the reason you might think. I do hate that trannies have tainted it and that makes me hate it more. But I got into a 30 minute argument with someone about etymology over the use of it recently lmao

I accept that it's considered grammatically incorrect and that using it is technically improper speech. But it's not because of trannies, it's the nomenclature I've used my entire life. I don't need the earful about how much trannies suck because of a single word. I agree they suck but that's irrelevant because I use it on normal people too.
