I thought that misdeamor incest was one year in jail, with Chris getting out on time served?

Or did this nigga not take a guilty pleasure?

So is there any chance they purposefully didn't indict him until now so Chris would spend more time in jail?
This goes against the defendant's right to a speedy trial (unless the defense is fine with it), right? Or am I just retarded?
It’s his attorney who kept asking for a continuance, he was probably offered a deal but rejected

No, it can be for the incest charge. It's what's needed for them to proceed with felony incest. Remember the incest charge *is* a felony, it's only a misdemeanor if they don't indict.
Iirc in Virginia law most incest is misdemeanour but mother-son incest is class v felony :story: there used to be sperg about if Chris will be charged with that now his legal gender is female

Keep your head down, do your time and you’ll be fine
See, now there’s the problem. Chris is really fucking annoying, entitled and lacking in self awareness or any concept of social structure that isn’t cartoon based. He couldn’t go to the mall without starting some shit. At some point, he’s gonna rub the wrong guy the wrong way.

It’s rare you get to call someone a mutherfuxker…and they actually are a mother…fucker.

I just want the pleasure one day of him years from now being on Twitter and me calling him a motherfuxker and when they bar me send them the conviction and say “See? I can call him that!”.

It seems like Chris was legit that selfish, stupid, and egotistical to refuse a plea deal Hielburg worked out solely because it would have involved admitting what he did, and being put in a tard home. Those are the two things Chris refuses to acknowledge all because of his bloated delusions of grandeur.

If that happens, I want them to ask Null who's the person Chris asked him to kill.
I thought I remembered him saying it was definitely Sockness, but it turns out he wasn't completely sure whether it was him or Joshua Wise. It was kind of out of the way and I had to look it up to find it, so I figure I'll link it for anyone who might not have been watching that thread at the time.

Gotcha. So what we're guessing is that Heilberg tried to stall for whatever reason, Chris most likely fudged a deal, and now the misdemeanor is probably getting upgraded to a felony.

It's just kinda funky that it took almost exactly a year to get to this point, like it's purposeful.

He actually turned down the plea deal? What the fuck is he thinking?
We are talking about the person that when inquired of why he did not leave 14BC to pursue his dreams he bsod, he literally said that he could not imagine a life outside of Virginia even less outside of 14BC, so the common theory here is that plea deals forbid him to return home with his toys and his mom and he refused believing he could get away with it

Sadly he will have to live the dimensional merge with the Mexican Cartel soldiers and the poor guard that has to tard wrangle him to prevent the black prisoners beating the crap out of him

This thread has moved extremely fast and I've been busy today - what is known at present? Is it confirmed or at least strongly implied that this has come about because Chris refused a plea?

Remember the incest charge *is* a felony, it's only a misdemeanor if they don't indict. For some reason they didn't indict until now, which was basically the deadline if they wanted to keep him in jail for it. (Though they could have just stacked on other charges for other acts if they had evidence, and kept him in jail for those).
I think at the beginning, they were thinking this might turn out to be an unfortunate case of a demented old lady and her retarded son. They kept it quiet for a year in case they wanted to quietly sweep it all under the rug. But now they've had the opportunity to spend some time evaluating Chris and his situation. With Chris, familiarity breeds contempt and their sympathy has all but dissolved.

That's interesting. I always thought dudes in PC and did sex crimes wouldn't be viewed in any favorable light by other inmates given the hierarchy structure in prisons.

I mean… They’re probably not going to be lining up to lend Chris cup noodles and prison chips.

But the vast majority of prisoners, especially the ones that Chris is likely to encounter, just want to do their time as fast and easy is possible, and beating/raping a degenerate tend to interfere with that.

Even the long timers have little motivation to fuck with someone because they wouldn’t want to fuck up the privileges they’ve managed to accrue.

Not saying there isn’t a kind of prisoner who wouldn’t give a fuck, but someone like Chris isn’t likely to run into them.

It's possible he turned down a plea but it's also possible one hasn't been offered yet or it has to be upped to a felony for the prosecutor to offer it. We don't know what they're sending the grand jury for indictment.

So they've finished the grand july appearance, and indicted him? I don't think I recall a decision being made, just that he was being sent to a grand jury to be decided on for his case.

He is not indicted yet, but the case going to a grand jury basically means he's indicted, because they almost never say no.

It appears it will happen on August 8th.

So is there solid confirmation that he's going to trial or is it still nebulous from one guy?

He is not going to trial until he goes to trial. You can enter a plea deal at any time before the trial. You can even do it *at* a trial (though you've already made the prosecution do most of the work so they won't be generous, last minute deals are basically to spare a victim from having to testify).

I've personally seen plea deals be entered right as the trial was starting, the jury was ready, and the judge walked into the room. Defendants sometimes change their mind when they walk into court and realize "holy shit this is really happening".

It's like asking if two people talking smack in a bar are going to fight. It's not a fight until someone throws a punch, and unless you're at a scummy bar it almost never results in a fight.

95% of cases do not go to trial.

Null doesnt even live in the US at this point
He's still a US citizen. Virginia can compel his attendance in a criminal trial if his testimony is actually relevant. Now admittedly there are steps if Null wants to fight it. They can't just send State troopers to collect him. But the end result is inevitable to the point it's not really worth it to belabor the point.
