But a big part of what makes video games cool is seeing things evolve with new games, think of how jaw dropping it was to play GTAIII for the first time or GTA:SA for the first time, old school games are great, but if we've lost new games being worthwhile we've lost something very dear.
I replayed all three GTA 3D games this Spring, PC ports modded with QoL and minor graphical fix improvements. GTA SA especially, after all these years, retained the same magic it did when I first played it. Drawn in to the story, and really forgot how well they set up the atmosphere especially in the early missions.

I’ve watched this thread with a mix of interest and horror. After spending the rest of Spring/Summer playing GTA V/online for the first time, then uninstalling it completely after realising what an utterly unfulfilling, toxic grindfest GTAO was, I reckon the GTA franchise is pretty much over.

Rockstar in retrospect reached the creative watermark for GTA in 2004. If I was a paranoid person, I would almost believe that pulling the original III/VC/SA from sale, and shitting out these fucking abominations in their stead was a deliberate ‘fuck you’ to the fans of the classics.

So with the remasters being a massive ball of fail and AIDS, to the degree of doing irrevocable harm to the franchise and Rockstar in general, anyone hoping against hope that they memory-hole the current abomination for the sake of delaying the physical release until they can just put straight up the original versions of III/VC/SA onto said physical releases with only minor changes and and most of the missing music restored (as a mea culpa to fans) and release them that way sometime next year?

So has TKS-Mantis been bought out, because he's nonstop giving this shit heap undeserved promotion.
Most if not all of Fallout-focused youtubers' main goal is to become noticed by AAA-senpai.
It's no coincidence all of their top content creators (Oxhorn, MrMattyPlays, Juicehead, etc) are all paid shills who turned on their beliefs and ideals the moment the free merch, review copies, and trips to events started arriving in the mail.

I don't see how someone that shit all over Fallout:76 could even fathom to excuse this clear and effortless money grab.
Because he was a nobody at that point.

BTW what ever happened to CJ actor? Guy who plays Franklin said he went mental on fans?
He's basically bitter at R* because he got paid a paltry sum and got no access to royalties (unlike most VC-III voice actors who were famous actors and thus had jewish legal reps) while R* went on to make serious bank with SA to this day.
It only makes him more angry that his music career went nowhere and that people only recognize him as "CJ", to the point he's starting to develop cow tendencies like screaming at people and picking fights with fans who want a selfie with Carl Johnson.

You faggots really gonna bring /v/'s coomer shit over here
I'll help you banish back to the tuna smelling dark.

Playing with a literal turd can be fun if you force yourself to do it, but that doesn't offset the fact it's objectively shit.
Euuugghhhh I'm not so sure on the fun part, all the times I've done it, it winds up taking a mental toll. But they've also mostly been games that have been 20-30 hours. Something short and bad may not have the same effect but a game that's over in 2 hours or less may not have a whole lot going on to monstrously fuck up to begin with.

IIRC there's a pool shaped in a R* logo.

I guess that's where it's located...
Yes, thats the point...they apparently changed the rockstar logo to the rockstar of David on the minimap for some fucked up reason

They can't even render RAIN properly in this trilogy without issues!

That is literally hurting my eyes. And they had the nerve to boast about the rain effects on the trailer?
That legit made me nauseous.

Me wondering what the nice people on /v/ have to say about this...

They found a pic of the Dev team and are arguing over who they'd rather fuck - thicc momma or emo girl. lmao I don't know why I was expecting anything else

Thicc momma: A fun lay, but an annoying gf who dotes on "fur babies" and hangs BLM flags outside.
Emo girl: Does freaky shit, but she's a living, breathing 5150.

Goddamn /v/. What a bunch of virginal coomers.

Why in God's name would you ever lock rain to the camera perspective? That's babby's first game levels of incompetence. The only time you can really get away with that is in a fixed angle game. Anywhere else and it causes nausea.

And to think that they were so confident in their weather system that they were bragging about in on their official website

This is why you don’t rely on small unknown companies like Grove Street Games to release your ports and remasters a ton. It’s like how Batman: Arkham Knight was only handled by 12 people at Iron Galaxy causing it to suck and not work.
Even though GSG made this port, Rockstar/T2 is ultimately responsible okaying the final product.

The PC port I recall was outsourced. But, your point is still valid.

“alL nEw reNDEriNg, LIghTinG, aNd lAndSCapE teChnOLogy… allOWs uS SIXTEEN TIMES DUH DETAIL”

The mere imaginary concept of Todd Howard with Rockstar is a marriage made in the worst depths of absinthe-tinged Gigerian purgatory.
