I know that Gap Band's "You dropped a bomb on me" was removed from SA on steam before this DE. IIRC songs were removed in 2014 and I believe once again a year or two ago, something like that, which is when the Gap Band song got whacked. Trying to google this, for more than a couple of minutes at least, is a bit of a pain in the ass now because of this re-release, but does anyone know if any additional songs got removed for the DE, or hell, if any were added back in (lol).

I ask because I'm getting the sense that the music list is actually the same as what was on steam before the original games were all removed from the store.

That sounds about right, I know they gutted GTA IV's list like a fish about ten years after release. No guts anymore, no fish guts in that current year Rockstar Games.

I downloaded VC and SA this morning that I bought on Steam ages ago on sale. Just in case they want to remove them because they're better.
That's generally a strange situation and i never saw something like that in all my years using Steam. Alan Wake was removed from Steam years ago but i can still dowloading the game without problems.
I'm sure at this point is a hidden corporate law which Valve can't touch removed games with accounts having those since. It's like if i paid for a physical copy and later a cop or a lawyer comes to my house to take it.

Did they really remove Edge of Seventeen? (Despite Stevie getting a song in gtav and later an additional song in the next gen version)

Shit, need to check to see if I bought those games when they where on sale for dirt cheap.

I've outright lost games I've bought on the iPhone's App Store. I think they just allow games on dedicated game platforms to be redownloadable because those have much more vocal playerbases than mobile gamers

Regardless, Steam's been a class act for years, and you can still redownload even games that've gone defunct, where you can't get past the title screen, if they're still in your library.

JFC this is a shitshow. Rockstar and Take-2 don't give a fuck. They want your money. They don't respect the games, nor the fans. And its fucked up they pulled the OG games down so people would have to play this broken ass version. But now thats gone too. So unless you have the games pirated, physical copies, or already bought them before, you're SOL. Fuck rockstar.

It's actually a blessing that GTA VI will never be made.

GTA VI will come out and people will be clamouring to get it *because* of the long wait.

For how much of a shit show the Definitive Edition is, it will simply be a blip on the radar for most unfortunately. I doubt this will even impact sales of Grand Theft Auto V for PS5 and Series X™

I'm honestly scared for a GTA IV remaster at this point. For how much shit I used to give it, I've begun replaying lately and am enjoying it way more than I did when I was 18. I guess age has allowed me to appreciate it more.

Like even looking at the new trailers for all this shit is disgusting, especially when I remember the stuff for GTA IV. Specifically the trailer they dropped for Niko right before the game launched.

It's amazing how far Rockstar has fallen.
