Honestly I give ET a lot more room than I used to. It was a one-man project that had to be made in like half the time for normal game development, even at the time.

It's a miracle it even got finished, and honestly it's reputation comes more from being in the exact wrong place at the wrong time than actually being the worst game ever. There are quite a few 2600 games of basically equal quality.


GTA 6 is a AAAA game by a major studio that's had over a decade and like a billion dollars thrown at it. Anything less than a fuckin 10/10 is going to be unacceptable.
 
I'm an optimist and I think the reason for it taking so long is they've had to spend the last 18 months performing major changes to characters and storyline.

This game started development when inclusivity and progressiveness were assumed to be something people wanted to see and GTA VI reflected that. That's since been proven to be as popular as cold sick, Rockstar saw this and changed course.

I think the game will be good.
 
I don't think the woke callout would work. They already tried it on the protag reveal and it didn't work. I think the entire single player experience could be 2/10 and no one would give a fuck because Online will be what makes or breaks this game. It seems like they're gonna make GTA RP base Online and turn it onto Roblox 2/Second Life 2. Given they're already prospecting ideas of having a Creator Marketplace for the online. all the e-gangsters, BPD whores, trannies, and gooners are gonna make this game a generational success.

There's no doubt that the game would be objectively good, The expectation from Rockstar/Take Two is that this game would outperform GTA V and make its projected $2 billion budget back within weeks if not days.

Keep in mind that Lucia is a Latino. Rule 54 would already overrule the woke backlash.
 
I'm attempting to 100% GTA3. The Paramedic side mission is the hardest hurdle so far. I made the mistake of making the Triads hostile before starting it, so between collisions, spread out patients and the Triad's gunfire, it's usually hard to complete in one go. I'm considering using a cheat code or just starting over from another save, but then I have to deal with cumbersome controls and some egregious side missions/rampages again.

There's a very funny yet true thing about Rockstar's games. At least 90% of them, be it both the old & new ones, almost objectively run better pirated than their original copies. That goes for both performance & even now privacy wise due to not needing Rockstar's shitty launcher.

I ended up installing a crack into my game because Social Club kept crashing whenever I was playing with the Liberty City Preservation Project. Installed the crack, never happened again. Thanks Mr Goldberg!
