I kind of find it funny that they want a Latina as one of the lead characters for GTA VI, yet didn’t they already have one like this in GTA III and San Andreas?

Apart from the obvious lies like George Floyd being “murdered” by police to wanting a “kinder, gentler and compassionate” Grand Theft Auto game, this is just proof that this joke in a cartoon strip lives on:



I also find it interesting that they’re trying to go with the Bonnie & Clyde route with the female Latina character, when in reality, that famous crime duo was anything but “woke”:

It will be funny to see how they will convince GTA fans that a couple like this who ended up getting killed by police while being progressive all for the sake of wanting a Latinx Latina presence is a good idea. If they replace this real life crime duo with two females as the lead characters, then this is just proof that they’re running out of ideas.

I would happily have a female protag, but I don't want two playable characters. Three was too many last time. It wouldn't surprise me if somehow they bring her back and make it a prequel to GTA3 or somehow she survived being blown-up and is back for revenge against Claude.

He did a good job covering the new Saints Row game without getting political (whilst still kind of touching on the cultural aspects of how absurd the characters and premise were), but as is, it's too early to tell whether this will be as much of a disaster as that game is, and he ends up shooting himself in the foot if the game isn't as bad as the article is suggesting.

To be perfectly honest, a GTA gamed based on Bonnie and Clyde is a brilliant idea with a ton of potential. However, given abysmal state of Rockstar, this is most likely gonna be an absolute shitshow.

Which, you know, honestly sucks because I think a female GTA protagonist is long overdue, and would be great if it handled properly, but given the current state of things, and how their last attempt at a badass female character was messy at best, the chance of this new one being any better is slim to none.
