It's honestly baffling to me that an update that was pretty much advertised as being 90% a quality of life update has gotten so many GTAForums users upset at being a quality of life update, while at the same time having 2/3rds of the content locked behind time gates.

The Greenwood price really emphasizes just how ridiculously stupid the economy of this game is. It costs over a million dollars in game money which is ridiculous. That translates to roughly 20 real world dollars, which is ridiculous.

But the most ridiculous thing of all? It doesn't even take an hour of work at this point to get to over a million dollars. Even if you're starting GTA Online for the first time, you're literally given instant access to a business and FOUR MILLION DOLLARS. The kosatka cost two million, giving you instant access to Cayo Perico Heist. As long as you look at a guide, you can master solo stealth within an hour, maybe 2 if you're a complete fucking retard. Even with a 3 hour cooldown, just pulling off one cayo perico heist a day will net you about 8 million a week, which is the equivalent to a 100 dollar Shark Card.

The whole system is goofy, and at this point I honestly can't feel bad for anyone retarded enough to pay for a Shark Card.

It's not even the right car, Sweet's car was an 80's Chrysler Fifth Avenue, not a late 70's Dodge Monaco/Plymouth Fury
Maybe they'll pull a Cheetah Classic and give us a Greenwood Classic in the Holiday update.

Edit: Got home and finished the IAA missions. They're okay I guess, but they really should have used a different character cause the new guy doesn't sound like ULP at all, and the GTA Online writers can't write for him at all. Also the idea they had to swear us in as IAA agents and offer some weird payment that never actually shows was dumb. I don't get why they just couldn't have them force us into helping them like they did with Niko on the basis that they let our Criminal Enterprises slide.

For how much I shat on this update for being kind of lazy with just cramming shit from each business into each other, I'm kind of liking it. The fact I can just quickly cruise to each of my warehouses and send out people to get crates for me is nice. Grand total is 37,500 each 48 minutes, but that's easily made up for with a simple VIP mission or mixed goods sale. They have the chance of bringing back 1-3 crates, sometimes the rare cargo too. You manage to do that once every day, and you could passively fill up all 5 warehouses minimum like 3 months and then sell them all for like 10 million profit (even more if you just hoard them until a 2x event).

Like, if you're not a sped who expects everything *now*, this could lead to some huge paydays for basically no work. And if you do need as much money as possible I guess just keep doing Cayo Perico every 3 hours? And just rotate VIP/Terrorbyte work during the cooldown?

The entire naming convention of having a car be named the "X Classic" just really irks me. Rockstar will give the names out of iconic GTA vehicles to models that are nothing like the originals, and then a year or so down the line they release a proper recreation ofthat car into GTAO under the "Classic" moniker. It just makes the people in charge of naming the cars look too lazy to just open a dictionary and choose literally any other noun.

I definitely agree with ULP acting weird. In GTA IV, he seemed like one of the few "straight men" in the GTA world alongside people like Niko, whereas everyone else was off their rocker. But in this update it seems like ULP has also fallen into the pit of just being a parody character. He's basically every CIA stereotype rolled into one while also complaining about how hot it is. His new voice actor has this weird accent I can't put my finger on either. It's a close enough impersonation of the original actor's but the accent just makes it weird.

The weirdest thing is that the Cheetah despite clearly being based of 2000's model Ferarri vehicles has a description claiming it is from the 70's. So then you have a Cheetah Classic, which is somehow both older and younger than the base Cheetah.

And then you have the Infernus, Infernus Classic and the Infernus Classic II (aka Torero).

Don't get me wrong, I love having my garage of Vice City sports cars but damn

Someone on GTAForums complaining about how they got "soft locked" from the (admittedly shitty) checkpoint and posted a video.

Not once does this dude think to maybe *not* open up his weapon menu/try to punch the robot at the start and just run straight down the hallway to get a bit of cover?

Edit: Might be an unpopular opinion, but I always thought End of the Line was a really shitty final mission in San Andreas. Something about the big finale being chasing a fire truck is just so lame to me...

The amusing thing is that I never actually finished the Doomsday Heist because I got fed up with the retarded playerbase always fucking up the setups, so I never got to fight the robots in the Heist proper. So fighting them in this IAA mission was my first time going up against them. I died twice but at no point did I get softlocked like he did, just goes to show how intelligent the average GTAO player is.

You'd be surprised to hear that GTA: VC was originally meant to be an expansion pack to III. The scope of Vice City with that fact is even more impressive.
Yeah but they hired Hollywood Stars as voice actors and had licensed music from Michael Jackson on the soundtrack, so it was definetly fair to sell it as a full price game.

Gameplay wise it's pretty much like GTA3 but the voice acting puts VC on a higher quality level. It's somewhere between a Expansion Pack and a New Game.

I imagine the MJ music was cheaper back when Rockstar was trying to license it for VC. MJ wasn't really that popular anymore and he was still alive. I heard somewhere that when someone dies the licensing costs for their music goes up by quite a bit.

IIRC they got the license in part because Jackson's lawyers simply told him that a video game was wanting to pay him money for Billie Jean and Jackson didn't bother to investigate WHAT game wanted to license his music and said "whatever....." and the licensing deal got made. It's why Billie Jean in turn got purged from all subsequent releases/ports; Jackson quickly found out after VC came out that he inadvertently licensed his music out to a murder simulator game that was in the news over how you could kill hookers after fucking them and vowed never to let the song appear in subsequent releases or VC games no matter how much money was offered to him. Because for all of his faults, Jackson was a huge moral fag type and was against violent video games like GTA as far as him being appalled that such games even existed since they were basically murder simulators that glorified crime.

Not to mention it starts with CJ apologizing to Sweet for all the verbal abuse the latter lumped on him throughout the game, like a battered wife.

That's what I did and it works, no need to restart the whole mission.

I rarely play GTAO because of how repetitive and grindy it is, I started playing again recently and actually have fun now thanks to many passive and semi passive businesses that generate money while I'm just fucking around in free roam. It costs a bit to set it up but once you get there it's great - unless you really go after owning every vehicle in this game then it obviously won't keep up and you need to grind.

The update is nice and would be universally liked if rockstar wasn't so cheap trying to spread the little content it has over coming months. The new missions don't pay shit unlike Agency where finale gives you 1 million, the new bolt action sniper rifle is so weak you are better of using anything else. Everything I wanted (M16, Ubermacht Rhinehart, Sentinel classic from bennys) is dripfeed, so I'm not surprised that people are upset because very little is available day one, even the car dealership they showed in the trailer is dripfeed and is currently under repairs in game.

I cannot find anything on the Internet to confirm that reasoning. Closest thing I've found was that MJ's music was particularly removed for "copyright."

So it's like the business missions from VC? You do a few missions and then the business generates money by itself for you to collect?

Depends on the place, they generate money in safe every ingame day which is 48 minutes.
Arcade gives 5k
Agency gives up to 20k(I heard it might be 50k in this update), depending how many contracts you completed.
Nightclub gives 50k if you keep popularity high, if it drops off you just do a short mission and they added more of them in this update.
MC clubhouse now gives something too but I haven't checked that yet.

It might not sound like much but it just keeps generating while you do whatever you want, just do a sell mission once nightclub and bunker warehouses are full and you have decent income with low effort. Obviously there are better and faster ways to make money like spamming cayo perico heist, but I don't want to grind in GTA, I want to fuck around.

A lot of people on GTAForums are talking about how hard the final IAA job is, and I'm like "WTF is wrong with you?"

You literally pass every Juggernaut so you know their location, there are no other enemies to shoot at you, they heavily choreograph when they're going to attack ("Hey, what happened, our radar just went off the charts!" after the first hack) and there is plenty of cover at the start. When they activate you just take cover, wait for the first one to show up, aim for the head with the MG MK. II, then you take a second to figure out where the others are positioned, and you pop out and take them out with consistent head firing one at a time.

Once you get to ground level, you just equip minigun and start blasting at their heads as soon as you open the door, stopping after each one is killed to refill health/armor.

It's honestly one of the easiest missions in the game with absolutely no pressure, and these retards still fuck it up.

Yeah, I'm actually enjoying it but I always had a bit of fun figuring out the best way to make money and only stopped because there was such a long period of same old same old and I got bored and realized I had more money than shit I wanted to buy. The new shit might keep me entertained figuring out the new best grind for a month or two before I get involved in something else.

I just find it funny that the update is pretty much exactly what they advertised, and using the same methods that GTA Online has used for the past...I dunno...6 years now? And somehow retards still hyped it up as the next coming of Jesus, shit on everyone who dared say "this isn't that great", and then did a complete 180 the second it came out because they made up all sorts of bullshit in their head again.

Like, I feel GTA Online is a great measure of just how retarded your average gamer really is.

Not sure if this has been posted, but Bloomberg is saying GTA VI to have a female protagonist.

I think this could be good, if this was old rockstar. But I feel like this single player campaign is gonna be a 5 hour one and mostly just an extended tutorial for GTA VI Online.
It makes me hope that GTA IV Leak person is real, as his leak basically made the female protagonist to be a bitch cop who fucks the guy who murdered her husband lol
