I like the gist, but this map is poorly made.
Half the new countryside would be ignored after the initial novelty visit, specially the area north of San Fierro. Who honestly frequented Bayside in SA? Everyone I know used the Carver/Kincaid bridges to get to Verdant Meadows to do the Toreno missions or go from SF to LV.
The only people who would go there more than once are the same pestilence who like to claim Paleto Bay is the best place on the map.

I just want to say that as far as GTA YouTubers go, the duality is as clear as day. One seems to care about actual Easter eggs and tidbits about the history of the games, whereas the other just craves for attention on anything that has no relation to the game itself.

I don't like this specific playlist, because while it might have Polkovniku Nikto Ne Pishet, which is a perfect fit for GTA IV given the reference to Brat 2 and how both protagonists are Europeans in the Big Apple, but unfortunately R* didn't manage to get it in for the final release. The original lineup of Vladivostok FM was perfectly picked by Rockstar with all the major Eastern European songs, including Gruppa Krovi.

Unfortunately it also has all the shitty songs nu-Rockstar shoved in because they just couldn't bother to care and lazily dropped in random songs they had licenses to without even paying attention if they're period accurate. Ya Nenavizhu Karaoke is a song from fucking 2016, and they just shoved it in as a gift for the 10th anniversary of the game. Our licenses expired, we're ruining one of the best radio stations in the game because we won't spend money to keep the game the same way as it used to be, so get fucked lmfao.

I don't trust Rockstar to not completely "fuck up" a GTA IV remaster by changing the vehicle handling or the physics engine or something to appeal to zoomers and others who absolutely hated how GTA IV felt.

I find a GTA IV remaster extremely unlikely. 1), T2's priority is with live services, specifically the cash cow that is GTA Online. 2) even if they would consider such a project, they'd likely muck it up like they did with the original trilogy and GTA V: Expanded and Enhanced.

I half expected Red Dead Redemption to be remade since the majority of the original's map went unused with RDRII.

I have near zero faith in R* and 2K to do anything tbh. I have full expectations for 6 to be nothing but 5 with a new skin and GTAO2 to be even worse, more unplayable, and filled with every possible type of microtransaction in existence. Trilogy was proof that these idiots aren't even competent enough to port one of their original games, let alone remaster the damn things.

Anyone who signs the petition is not only dumb for signing an online petition thinking it will matter, they're so blind and numb to reality, they wouldn't notice a snake with it's fangs secured firmly in their ballsack.

Personally, I've given up any hope or faith of Take Two (especially both R* and 2K) since 2019. I knew they were already planning on screwing things up, even before two years later with their GTA definitive edition remasters and the disasterous E3 coverage. I can never get excited about an idea of a sixth GTA game at this rate, especially when we're a decade into GTA 5's release.

To remake such large sandbox worlds for the purpose of delivering a game that aims to hit all the same notes and doesn't deviate too much from the original version in true remake fashion seems extremely wasteful, it would be wiser to release enhanced ports (like GTA DE theoretically should have been if it wasnt buggy garbage). I can't see Rockstar allocating resources to rebuild 3D era Liberty City/Vice City/San Andreas by their current day standards without just wiping the slate clean and building a new game and story from the ground up with it, as they have done with GTAIV, GTAV and now seemingly GTAVI.

Which makes the DE more heartbreaking that modders have been able to create "remakes" of the 3D trilogy at no cost to the consumer. Improved UI, controller support, widescreen support, fixed MB+K aiming, all modifications that made their experiences better for modern PCs.

Remaking the 3D trilogy from the ground up would be a monumental task for any developer to achieve. And, with what the DE has proved, remaking the originals would sacrifice the artistic vision created 10, 15 years ago. It would not feel the same playing GTA 3 with the GTA4/5 engine.

And keep in mind, this isn't the first time we've seen this shit. When ActiBlizz released their remastered version of Warcraft 3 in 2020 known as Reforged, it was proven that it was a very buggy, very unfinished mess. And in the next year in the half, R*, 2K and Take Two did a very similar thing with all three 3D GTA games, except somehow made it much worse that it became more of an art form by the end of 2021.

It has taken me forever to finally get GTA IV working to an acceptable standard on my PC only to replay it and realise that it's just a bunch of shitty chase missions with a completely retarded storyline.

Granted, it's great to just drive around NYC and make your own fun by stalking and killing someone who bumped into your car, but having to get halfway through the game to unlock all the islands is torture.
