Might as well completely disable the chat feature at this point. It's only used for trash talking and spammy mod menu ads anyways.

I'm gonna miss its original OSTs and also GTA Online itself when it was genuinely enjoyable, with friends of course. Can't believe I've wasted tons of hours on it.

They want me to believe they have the ability to shadow ban me for saying nigger, but they are unable to ban mod menu users?

In my mind, this absolutely proves to me that they are getting money from the mod menu creators to leave them alone.

I was more talking about gaming in general in regards to it not working with the 10 year development cycle. You can *maybe* get away with a 10 year development with an established IP. That's a big maybe, though. We won't have a real modern look at it until GTA VI (or maybe Elder Scrolls VI) comes out. When this has happened in the past, it's never worked out for the game, developer and in some cases publisher.

But I'd say even GTA isn't immune from growing stale. Duke Nukem Forever took so long that the gaming landscape changed and when it finally released they had changed too much that it displeased old fans, and it was too close to what it was to please the new generation. We already have Dan and others within Rockstar talk about how you can't properly do GTA anymore because of the way the world is, so what are we going to get? There's no way it's going to please everyone to make the alleged two BILLION dollars worth it.

I can't even name a gaming IP that isn't Nintendo that has kept it's relevance for over 10 years without at least some major hickup happening before a new found rise (and that's only with Resident Evil off the top of my head if I'm being honest)

He has bunch of unused lines that are made for interaction between player and NPC
only 3 protagonists use this type of voice lines, NPCs only got basic ambient lines for things like getting attacked or being chased by cops
Really makes me think what Rockstar's original plan was

This is just like Minority Report, but you’re not even allowed to explain yourself and they still cut off your digital tongue for just noticing it.

Either way, if this is something to expect from GTA VI, then nothing will change from the online front. How is this even considered good behavior?

I didn't know the last OG writer of Rockstar left this year.

Mors sounds like he thinks that GTA VI is going to change the industry and solidify the 10 year development cycle. I think that would actually cause a gaming crash tbqh. Gaming trends change way too much within a decades time. I already think GTA VI has a chance of...I wouldn't say being a bomb, but not being nearly as big as GTA V was. I don't think video game trends last long enough for 10 year development cycles to work in general, especially in AAA.

Hmm, I have a feeling GTA 6's story wasn't nailed down until a few years ago and the core gameplay loop(s) were not finalized until 18-24 months ago.

I'd honestly bet GTA 6 was rebooted at least once during development after R* say how much money GTAO was making.

However, R* knows they HAVE to make GTA 6 a mega hit. It needs to have a fun, interesting world to draw people in and a totally fresh online experience as GTAO is a decade old.

Yep... GTA 6 might be the game to absolutely max out the PS5 and Xbox X. I personally can't wait to see how good it'll look.

GTA's Online inconsistent difficult is based on how enemies "burst fire" onto you with certain weapons. Pistols and SMGs have less accurate bursts, while advanced rifles tend to have more accuracy with their fire rate. Of course, R* can program their accuracy like so. See The Doomsday Heist or Rooftop Rumble.
 
How did GTA Online become the runaway success it is now? I've heard of many IPs trying to go the MMO route only to fizzle out after a couple years.

TL : DR Microtransactions targeted to literal children

Adding bunch of cool cars that encourage players to purchase shark card was okay
But Rockstar realized that many people are willing to pay for armed vehicles such as rhino tank and hydro just to grief other players
Most of these so called "tryhards" are children who pays a lots to get weapons they want since they're too retarded to learn how to grind GTA$
So Rockstar added bunch of overpowered weapons (MK2 weapons, Oppressor MK2 etc) and put them behind massive paywall
We don't have data that suggest how much money did Rockstar has earned from this strategy but I strongely believe that this is how Rockstar earned that much amount of money

Literal children and retards who fell in love with just buying new cars and griefing.

It's actually a fucking miracle that GTA Online took off after Heists. I remember everyone thought I was a fucking retard for playing it off and on the first year cause there wasn't anything to fucking do in the game.
