Mind you, it's not even accessible in free roam, you need to do tricks & glitches to do so.

Also, the Liberty City thing was 2 years ago. Now you can even access all GTA maps combined.

Speaking of which, Rockstar & their modder crusade fucked over the best GTA SA mod of all time, which did this exact thing, except for all of 3D Universe. The GTA Underground mod combined not just all the GTA Maps, but all 3D Universe maps like Bullworth, Carcer City, Cottonmouth, upgraded versions of Vice City & Liberty City from VCS & LCS, etc.. Hell, you can even use SA-MP with it.

It also had all the cars from other games (including the beta, cut, & prop ones) which even worked as traffic in their specific cities, weapons from all games (there were some extra added weapons too), all the interiors & working safehouses & stores from all games, plane & train fast travel, etc. The whole thing is an entirely new game altogether & their site has all the info which'll help me keep the comment short. You can still download the last version (4.2) before they shut down production in 2021.

Rockstar itself can't do jackshit, but will fuck over anyone else who will.

The tuner update was the first time I was online for a launch. I was super stoked, then the niggers came about with shitty dialog and honeychild empowered negress bullshit. Totally ruined it for me. The game in general seemed to be headed the way of full nigger, but that did it for me. GTA 3 was the best in so far as the character was just a criminal doing criminal shit. Being forced into playing into nigger culture is fucking gay. I just want to shoot shit and steal things, maybe some car bombs? nah have some more niggers. The constant phone calls from businesses is annoying as well, with no option to mute calls its just stupid. Lets not forget all the flying cars and stupid scifi shit, no one in voice chat doing proper shit talk, and the endless stream of hackers constantly fucking shit up. GTA 6 will just be more gay shit. I'll stick to my modded offline game when I get the urge to be a criminal.

I only remembering trying GTA Online on a couple of occasions, and only barely remembering much of the story mode surrounding sub missions with Lamar and Trevor.

Oh, I remember hearing that song for the first time during the introductory scene. Quite a welcoming song as it shows you various activities for GTA Online. I believe the NPCs you see inside the plane were actual players.

Half the time, my game would literally be stuck in the clouds during launch. Even one year after launch.

The "multiple main characters" mechanic is the exact reason I cannot properly enjoy GTA V to this day. It felt like an ADHD fever dream with all the jumping from one character to another, micro-managing several stories at once. I'd compare it to having several sandwiches available to you and having to constantly take a bite out of each instead of finishing one at a time. It feels too jarring compared to a typical story flow of a GTA game where the focus is only on one character and the things transpiring around them.

If it bows to trannies it will kill the audience interest in the game. If it mocks trannies, it will face cancellation.

One of my favorite things in GTA V was that sometimes random female-appearing NPCs would respond when spoken to in a male voice (that was clearly mimicking a female one in troon-like fashion). Back in the olden-days, I found it hilarious and quirky and very "LA". In these current times, my prediction is that GTA VI will try to tip-toe around the tranny issue by ignoring it entirely.

Anybody have their own retrospective on their first experience with GTA Online into now?

I only played the game once. I had a little bit of fun with it, trying out the features and doing a few missions(I liked the vehicle time trials). Eventually, I started getting tracked by a player who would kill me, camping in the area to do it again and again. Once I got away, I tried to resupply and get a better car just in case, but eventually the fucker came back in some sort of armored vehicle and ran me off the road, only to repeat the cycle again. He would follow me no matter where I went on the map, and only stopped when another played started tracking him down and that let escape.
Last time I logged off, I remember a major war between players in Downtown Los Santos(where I tried going to avoid the guy). Everybody was gunning each other down and raining gunfire and rockets down at one another, Police unable to do anything. That was when the guy chasing me got bored and got involved with the massive orgy as well. I still remember the last frame before I logged off for good, some dude with a military helicopter was gunning others down, only to get shut down by a rocket like it was Baghdad.
Fun game, but a bit too high of a learning curve when you consider the hackers and high lever players grieving lower level ones. Now, I can't play it even if I wanted to since 360 servers shut down, and I don't feel like playing the "Next Gen" version.

I started playing it on PS4 during 2019 and welcomed by bunch of retards on mk2 with literal no way to fight back
I hated free mode a lots but I loved to play mission with random online

Then Casino heist came out(I was like Rank 25 back then) and twitch prime gave free arcade for its users. It also used to give players free 200000$ for every months.
Without this generous offer from twitch prime, I would've quit GTAO much earlier.

I was also playing on PS4 and Sony was giving 1000000$ every months since from the announcement of E&E and until it's release
Then E&E got delayed for like 5 months and PS4 users got extra 50000000$ become of this delay
I bought MK2 using this money and everything got easier for me

I also love the way how they implemented Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga“ while trying to make Michael’s therapist more sane than him. It’s a nice twist on the world of psychiatry, in my opinion.

I didn't know the last OG writer of Rockstar left this year.

Mors sounds like he thinks that GTA VI is going to change the industry and solidify the 10 year development cycle. I think that would actually cause a gaming crash tbqh. Gaming trends change way too much within a decades time. I already think GTA VI has a chance of...I wouldn't say being a bomb, but not being nearly as big as GTA V was. I don't think video game trends last long enough for 10 year development cycles to work in general, especially in AAA.
