If the leaked video is real then it looks like a reskin of GTA V.
Yeah honestly this would be fine if it was 2-3 years a la III to SA (and even then, SA was a major improvement in map size & gameplay), but I'm feeling underwhelmed at the graphics considering how much time has passed. I hope the resources not used in graphics are used towards NPC/Ped improvement and more dynamic responses to the player's actions :optimistic:.
Even if not, You know they're re-releasing this shit for PS6/XB Next, so I hope they at least have some futureproofing for their AI.

The Rockstar guy in question is none other than Aaron Garbut
I don't think Garbut's that stupid. My theory is someone's kid recorded some footage of their dad's workstation, then posted an unrelated pic with Garbut to prove it's authenticity.
Garbut's been at R* too long to be so dumb as to take a zoomer with his phone into his workplace and let him openly record on a scout's promise he won't leak anything.

Satire is impossible to do in 2023 because of how fiery culture has gotten since the 2000's or even 2013. If they went too hard on the right, they'd have thousands of people pissing and moaning about how Rockstar has cucked out. If they went too hard on the left, they wouldn't get the game released. This franchise belongs best in pre-GamerGate pop culture America.

Cuckstar always has been just "parodying" right wingers and promoting leftism in their games, it's a fact. Now they will just go full force. Why they can't do satire in 2023 is because satire requires to exaggerate stuff, and this world already uses as much hyperbole as it can unironically. You can't make a funny Trump parody because he already has said all the "ridiculous" stuff a parody would require, you can't one up him.

It's kind of funny that so many people never seemed to realize the slant they had.

I mean, Rockstar North were a fucking UK based developer.

Edit: Has anyone considered this leak my be intentional in the same way that Ubisoft consistently has "leaks" right before a reveal to produce extra hype?

It seems really weird it would come from one of the last OG DMA design devs on the team.

So... Pretty much Simpsons but with video games?

>TFW when you get fired from your job because your zoomer son leaked footage of GTA 6 on Tik Tok.
I really hope it's simply a frame-op because if it isn't, it must feel pretty bad for the guy who's an art director and head of development/co-studio head and has been with the company since '96. Though it seems like whoever was working on the game shown in the footage didn't also have the best opsec. For example, these are the security directives creatives working at Apple TV+ must follow. We can assume the stuff R* requires their employees to follow is far more strict.
  1. Don’t share or discuss any aspect of the project with anyone who is not NDA’d and does not have a “business related need-to-know.”
  2. Do not blog, tweet or post any social media regarding your work on this project or the project itself.
  3. Your home office must be a fully enclosed private workspace with solid floors, ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling walls.
  4. Any doors and windows must be closed and locked at any time when you are not in the space or when you have sensitive materials out in the open.
  5. All windows must be obscured by frosting, tinting, or covered with closed blinds any time project information is visible.
  6. All device screens must be oriented away from door and window openings (i.e., only the back of the device is visible from outside the room).
  7. All pre-release materials and revelatory documentation such as scripts, etc. must be stored in a locking file cabinet, safe, or similar secure container when not actively in use.
  8. Pre-release materials and revelatory documentation must be within your positive control (i.e., direct visual observation). At no time will pre-release materials or revelatory documentation be left unattended outside a secure, lockable container. This includes meal and bathroom breaks.
  9. Undisclosed people (including family and friends) must not be allowed within your workspace any time revelatory information is exposed.
  10. Janitorial, maintenance personnel, or family members must not be allowed in your workspace unless and only when all device screens are locked and all sensitive material is secured within lockable containers.
  11. You must take responsibility for ensuring you do not dispose of materials in a way that exposes your work to the world. All documentation must be securely shredded using a crosscut paper shredder.

Of course people did, Rockstar was just doing it from a 2000's liberal stance than a 2010's liberal stance.
There is fundamentally no difference in the "stance", as far as I can tell.

They push more gay and trans shit now, but the basic stance that Americans are either skinny, pussy liberal retards or fat gun obsessed cousin fucking republican retards is the exact same.

Unpopular opinion here, but the only reason most people will get upset over the stance is because they grew up and got lumped in with one of the sides.

Aw sweet, Grand Theft Auto is up next on the "It was always gay" chopping block.

As much as there is a liberal slant to it, Rockstar has thrown some rocks at the left side as well, just as recently as GTA5, another game about the "dark side of the american dream", the main antagonist is Devin Weston, a liberal hypocrite. Not sure if the "do as i say, not as i do" leftist came before or after that, but its certainly the majority of what they are now

Slight clarification with this: video games have always been "liberal" with expression and their audience. Remember that many conservatives and older people/parents were against video games because of their depictions of violence. GTA being THE moral scapegoat that is corrupting the youth and American values.

Now, GTA is a reaction OF modern political values. Moreso, a product of the modern gaming industry because of its prior success.

IMO Rockstar games have a liberal undercurrent in them. You can sort of see it percolating through in that GTA V mission where Trevor shoots the border militia guys, but not before talking to a Mexican American about how their family has been in California for centuries (Rockstar confusing Californios vs modern Mexicans), or how RDR2 has a tough gruff white male lead who is technically supportive of LGBT/racial diversity/feminism.
