It's thematic. "Pure Cinema" as the kids call it these days.

Trevor was straight with Mike, and he still took the deal to "get out" while fully expecting him to die.

And honestly, outside of the house, Mike pretty much uses Franklin as hired help that gets him involved in a lot of serious shit without much payout. They don't actually have the money from the Union Depository yet, and Devin Weston could seem like a nice "way out" for him.

It's the whole thing coming full circle for Michael.
Trevor even calls Mike out on it at one point about how Franklin is out there risking his life for Mike and Mike clearly doesn't give a shit.

Madsen wasn’t in the Sopranos.
True, but wasn't he originally supposed to be the actor for Tony B before Steve Buscemi got the role? I think he would have fit that way better than Steve.

>MICHAEL MADSEN FUCKING DIED?

That sucks :(

The word I learned from this music is "liminal." I think Sal's mansion has music eerily playing in the background as well. It's haunting, but it fits. I wish something like this was in LCS' rendition.

GTA IV's support page on Rockstar's website was found to include PS4 as an option before being swiftly removed.

The military base thing at first had me like “oooh,” but the gang business minigames feel like a chore. There’s literally no mechanical difference between a “level one” and “level three” weed factory other than the number going up.
VCS's empire missions loosely remind me of San Andreas' gang terrorities, but marginally worse. I hate having to travel halfway across town to protect a business, then backtrack to ANOTHER business to protect. I believe there's an exploit you can do to pause attacks which gives you time to capture and buy all possible businesses which then STOPS the attacks.

Anyway, it's a cheap way of padding since you have to race to protect them or use money to "repair" them, rinse repeat.

The original Joel-in-one.
I remember when I first played V, I was really pissed off that they killed Johnny like that and I still kinda am but I recently replayed TLAD for the first time in years and I actually appreciate Johnny’s death a little more from a writing perspective.

At the end of TLAD, after killing Billy, Johnny says something like, “5 years ago, he would’ve never done something like that, all the drugs fucked him up and turned him into this.” Literally 5 years after IV, the same thing happens to Johnny, he became his own worst enemy. Although he’s a pathetic weakling instead of a backstabbing asshole like Billy.

Having said that, TLAD, despite being a short expansion pack, still has better writing than like 85% of 5’s writing. The dialogue in 5 is so obnoxious and annoying that it really makes it hard to come back to, which is a shame since there’s a lot about the game itself that’s really good.
