But I literally do not remember ANYTHING about GTAIV's driving,
I am not a fan of it, however, the hard handling applies to NPCs too. Races in IV were much easier than in other games, as all you need is not to crash on the first corner, and now you are ahead of everyone as most cars NPC cars just crash.

Compared to the 10 attempts that took for the campaign bike and car races in Vice City, it was extremely easy.

So the enhanced port of GTA Online does not have text chat?

That's an odd omission.

Rockstar's PC support is really bad and lazy.
I was just reading the hacks, it's pretty interesting just how much less money Red Dead Online made compared to GTA Online (apparently RDO only makes (made?) like 25 million a year)
That doesn't really surprise me. My understanding of RDO is that it's basically just GTAO in a less interesting sandbox that's trying even more to rip you off and hasn't really had much support. There is the question of "what can you actually put into RDO that people would be willing to spend money on", but I'm sure Rockstar could solve that if they wanted to. But why bother when 1) GTAO is so much more worthwhile to invest in 2) GTA6 is right around the corner 3) 25 million is still a good amount if you're not really putting any effort into it.

no it isnt for anyone with an actual life you dumb faggot
You're a low IQ tourist who doesn't even know what the GTA 4 beta has because you were too young to remember the GTA 4 previews. Also, you're still a brown ESL nigger that I can barely understand, so that checks out. I used to wonder how these big leaks just get memoryholed all the time, but I guess when your average gamer is an oblivious redditor retard and a casual like you, it starts making sense.
In SA I used to try to see how many rotations around the islands I could make at five or six stars, while still trying to create as much carnage as possible (if you're just trying to flee it's even easier). I could easily make multiple rotations without trying too hard and it was crazy fun. Whenever I got the urge to get all shooty in 4 or 5 I barely lasted a few minutes. It's entirely possible I just didn't adapt to the newer games and sucked at it but it really did not feel even remotely the same to me, and I'll never understand Rockstar for apparently neutering that aspect of the game. Wanting to create some fictional Blues Bros-esque mass carnage (only with explosions and fully automatic gunfire) was one of the best things about the earlier GTA's and they almost completely removed it.
5, and especially 4, are big on "no fun allowed" in name of realism. Nothing will beat SA/VC styled rampages, they actually felt like those old GTA 1/2 arcade massacres.

They shot themselves in the foot with RDO. RDO isn't making money because there's nothing to buy with the premium currency. Rockstar did not add enough content to sustain RDO compared to GTA Online. Yet, there's still a dedicated fanbase in spite of Rockstar Games BECAUSE of that open world.

This tells me that all future Rockstar titles would be set to present day since it's easier to monetize content.

Closest thing to an orbital strike in RDO would be heading over to your two pack mules carrying your radio and its battery and calling in some artillery.

And that's being extremely generous with the sizes and weights of the radio and the batteries.

Finished L.A. Noire. Great game, the 100% will be much easier than the GTA or Red Dead titles.

It does lag by the end, as the studio had some serious problems during production and had to rush the ending, which comes out of nowhere, and I did not like it.

It is still a nice experience, as I said, I liked both GTA V and RDR2, but it is clear that their success was so big that Rockstar is unlikely to do side titles like these between games, not even as a "Hey studio X, wanna do a game for us?"

There’s the Max Payne remakes in collaboration with Remedy coming soon, but I see your point. I think Max Payne was a Remedy IP first.

For remakes, honestly, 99% of the games people want a remake or remaster would be fine with just a good port.

Hell somehow Bloodborne will be on streaming before the PC because some games get the short stick on ports.

Speaking of Max Payne, 3 is a very frustrating game. It is not bad, the shooting is great, but the game format is

Shooting>Cutscene after 5 minutes>Shooting. Unless you die a lot, the game is much shorter than you expect, likely console limitations.

Legit, enough with the remake/remaster/reboot shit already - just keep the fucking game original and render it playable on modern hardware, that's all you need to fucking do. That's basically what they did with Red Dead Redemption and it worked out pretty well. Maybe I'm just weird because I don't really give a fuck about all of the modern graphical bells and whistles, but in a lot of cases with older games, the new and "improved" shit ends up looking worse because it does not adhere to the game's original art direction. The Definitive Edition releases are a great example of that, all of the characters in "Definitive" San Andreas for example came out looking like they're made out of shiny Play-Doh with fucked up faces.

I gotta say, I do get kinda tired of all of these terminal autistic turbospergs going on about "game preservation bro!!!" and archival acting like they've just discovered some long buried relic or the Ark of the Covenant or some shit, or like they're attempting to restore an amazing painting from the 12th century. Sure, it can be cool, but slap that shit up on archive.org and be done with it, don't act like you just discovered the Shroud of Turin or something. "ZOMG guys I found a beta build and get this, it's one full month before the actual release! that means this one particular ped has a different model and the color of the cop ped model's hat is a slightly different shade of blue! dude this is groundbreaking stuff! dude, this cutscene is shot from a different angle than it is in the final build, holy fuck!!"

Maybe I'm just too much of a normie nowadays I guess, but I can't convince myself to give a fuck.
The only near-release beta I’ve ever seen that was significant was for Sunsoft’s NES Batman game.

It started out as a comic license, and had comic book cutscenes, but then Sunsoft got the license for the movie and redid all the cutscenes and added a boss.

There’s also a beta of Superman for N64 that sucks less, but that just makes it horrible, rather than earth-shatteringly shitty.

Always got the vibe that this guy was more than a little off but holy shit the narcissism in this video about how the newest GTA game is totally all about him and his life

Not to mention the whole strap fake explosives to somebody as part of a robbery plan just screams psychopath. Also kind of wonder how true any of his shit about prison is considering he did alot of shit with one of our cows, jessica kent, who is by her own fuck up. an admitted rat and clear wackjob, despite claiming to despise those types and want nothing to do with them
He's made a few videos reacting to GTA in the past that I watched. Tbh I always felt like something was up with the guy but could never put my finger on it.
I wonder how much of what he says is actually bullshit, like that one John Alite guy who claims he was a hitman or whatever but actual mob guys say he was just some low level goon who bullshits.

The November delay for GTA VI reminded me of this analysis video regarding V's delay from Spring 2013 to Fall 2013.

Two common conspiracy theories formed for the "reason" of the delay: avoiding a potential release right before/after a violent attack and to make the game "compatible" with the next generation of video game hardware.

Now, these seem more credible given the current social, political and economic climate of today. Replace "violent attack" with "political zeitgeist," i.e. Trump's second term victory. With how successful GTA V was for PS4/XB1/PC, I wouldn't be surprised that they're future proofing VI for the next PlayStation or Xbox.

Getting all collectibles in LA Noire made me think about how boring collectibles have become.

In 3 and VC you get free weapons; in SA you get different bonuses based on what collectible types you got. In 4, you get no limit for ammo (you still need to buy), and a helicopter that you need another helicopter to get. In 5, you get a minute-long mission, a car, and some money for the most boring one (the radioactive waste)

RDR 1 and 2 at least allow you to get some money for the treasures, and I guess, in 1, you get parts for the skins, and recipes in 2.

It is the same with cheats; cheats in new games, if they exist, are nowhere as fun.

San Andreas was the last game I remember having 'fun' cheats at all, other than maybe Saints Row. Evil cars, peds riot, moon gravity, flying cars, give all peds weapons, etc. Man that shit was fun, end up bricking your only good save because you accidentally saved over an old slot with the riot cheat on and gave everyone weapons so it's just an eternal fucking warzone and you can't do anything without getting blown up by a random ped with an RPG on the street corner. IIRC I kept a save like that to play co-op on with my cousin and we'd see if we could actually make it out of the city without dying first, usually trying to make a run for the airport, that was the only way to survive.

I don't even really know if modern games do cheats, but if they do, they definitely don't do cheats quite like that.

I had fun with cheats on GTA V when I was a kid, but I will say, the cheat collection is nowhere as cool as SA.

I assume it comes with games having a much larger script that is easier to break, so they just give up from trying something weird and instead just give a basic "5 star or god mode, thats all I can give"

Granted, it is me being wishful, as that would explain the way tighter mission design now, where you can't leave the mission zone at all, while in the older games you could go really far, get a helicopter, and get through the mission without difficulty.
