Or a new IP like AGENT. I would like to see their take on spy thrillers. Especially the 1970s period.
I'm still mad that there was a pitch for a WE ARE THE MODS game based on the Mod culture in the UK (mostly depicted in that awesome movie that is Quadrophenia), which should have been a spiritual sequel to the Warriors (both Quadrophenia and the Warriors came out in 1979 btw) but they scrapped the idea early on.

On one side it's good that it ended so early, on the other side I want to be in a timeline where that game got made and released.

The game will be milked by mediocre essayist on YouTube regardless of how good or bad it is. The slop is inevitable, the game just needs to release.
Industry is setting itself up for this type of stuff too. It will be literally unavoidable no matter how good or bad it will be so pretty much everyone will win something since most people in the industry and around it nowadays is built on The Discourse ™

and vague posting his closeted neoliberal politisperg biases by assuming the fence post "bothside-ism" stance years ago made me unsubscribe.
I remember he rated the Fight Club minigame from TBoGT fairly high. That'd rate low on my scale due to how clunky GTA IV's hand-to-hand combat system is. GTA never did melee combat well.

If online isnt day one and 6 isnt online only then what the fuck they did all these years
You tell me, I thought RDRO would be an open-and-shut singleplayer-but-with-frens but they managed to turn it into some monstrosity where every player character at launch looked like a Murfee Clan relative, before doing a couple half-hearted patches and putting it on ice.

San Andreas was the closest they got to a good and consistent system with actual different martial arts you could learn but it was still underutilized unless you needed faster kills on armed opponents after you're busted or wasted.

Remember Gypsy? You probably do, if you follow any big GTA CCs. Anyway, he remembered his Google account password and made a new video talking about how GTA 6 is going to be sterilized:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=mMGfm39PCv0
His video about transgenders being removed in GTA V Enhanced completely removed any and all semblances of me thinking that VI would be another well-written Grand Theft Auto entry with clever satire. Fucking stupid "frat boy culture", well these "frat boy cultures" at least made some good fucking games. I can't stand the new DLC's for V Online, every protagonist/antagonist is so painfully annoying that I've stopped playing them entirely. I guess VI will be more of the same.

At best it'll probably be like Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - sanitized, with a bit of woke trickled in, so that all the centrist grifters would be able to defend it (and subsequently expose themselves as grifters, which I'm all for it, more grifter culls need to happen tbh). Though this is GTA and the target audience (kids) won't give a shit, and many will immediately rush in to the new Online to continue doing their standard GTA Online PvP/grinding autism, without ever bothering with the story and world building.

the fact that they added random "do 5 times shit" for regular online shows they know they audience, because RP kinda does something similar minus the "le ironic tones" thing, also they've been pushing really hard for GTA+, current online is extremely polluted with a lot of notifications and icons.

it's pretty easy to see why regular people just boot to freemode to kill eachother and that's it, if you want to do the mind numbing grind shit without having to deal with fags using godmode or teleporting you just go to a closed session... however i doubt they will make the characters fugly, because if you look at online galleries they all use the same misty as mother template even for male characters.

oh and once i remembered that rockstar made you be able to grind alot of shit in closed sessions also reminded me of the mountains of salt it generated from freemode pvp fags because they couldn't mess with other players trying to grind no more :sighduck:

If you're curious of how Strauss Zelnick became the business tycoon he is today as CEO of Take Two Interactive:

I won't lie. I do not completely understand how this business jargon being discussed. What I gathered was that Zelnick started as a "media guy" of international home distribution for movies with a philosophy that "new media" would overtake legacy media such as cinema to television, television to video games, CDs to streaming, etc. He was not wrong in retrospect. Take Two was broke when Zelnick looked into working with video games. "Hostile takeover" with little to no capital.

Regarding GTA VI, he is hands-off with Rockstar Games' ongoing development. I'm sure there was some heated conversation about VI being delayed twice already; he all but confirmed that November 19th IS the launch date now. Rockstar Games has a blank check with VI, surely because GTA itself proved to be an invaluable franchise over the years. GTA Online being this "new media" boom that was an overnight success that continues to make revenue aligns with Zelnick's forward thinking approach in running businesses.

Let me remind you that Zelnick's bonuses are tied from microtransactions with franchises that Take Two owns, even Red Dead Online. He does not need to make or play video games, just guide them into success products.

assuming the preorder thing is wrong what if they made the preorder date the 26th since that was initially when they wanted to release the game

Zelnick mentioned having to terminate a creative director based on his "outlandish behavior." I have a hunch he's talking about Leslie Benzies. The timestamp around 1:01:37 (leading creative geniuses) mentioned Take Two Interactive being an "rational business organization" with subtle digs against Activision; "we're not going to yell at you ... [followed by their competitor] having 500 sexual harassment claims over time..."

Notice how he propped himself up with "having a few claims here and there." That acutely tells me he's aware of crunch culture with Rockstar Games. I'm taking guesses with reading between the lines of his interview answers. Take that what you will.

I know people that make that claim and it drives me up the wall. "No consequences," nevermind that being busted or getting wasted would A) fail whatever mission you were on and B) you lose all your weapons and a percentage of your cash. I guess "no consequences" means the game does not directly scold you for your actions.
In the PS2 era it was common for people to use cheat codes to basically load up on weapons/unlimited ammo without having to grind for them.

I would prefer a property they haven't touched in ages. Like Bully 2 which had to die for RDR1 and Max Payne 3. Manhunt,
They are never in a million years making another Manhunt game. All the controversy and development drama with the second one killed that franchise. It was the one franchise that even the most ardent Rockstar defenders felt was a bit too much. It was the one time you could argue that Rockstar realized that they had pushed the envelope too far and learned a lesson from it.

If Rockstar ever found their old form again, they would probably just rather make a new stealth horror game that isn't connected to Manhunt.

The sequel strayed away from the first and it wasn't a proper in house game which is why it's so shit. And the rank system was cut.
But almost unrelated, hotline Miami was a successful successor. There's no way hotline Miami wasn't a little inspired by the first games exploration and reflection of violence. Hotline Miami takes it further and makes it more reflective on you.

They keep putting in cam headz and little references to manhunt in gta online. I think it's possible. Just needs a clean slate.

I wouldn't want another from modern rockstar though. They only know how to make open world games now.

During the Quarterly Take Two earnings call yesterday afternoon they repeated multiple times that GTA VI is still on track for a November 19th release date, good news for the delay believers
