I'm too busy laughing to be pissed at this point. They straight up fucking copied Bethesda's Skyrim strategy note for note and there will still be retards lining up to buy their shitty shark cards.
At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if they limited character transfers to within the first 3 months just so they can milk even more money out of saps who miss the window and can't transfer their 8 year old GTAO accounts anymore.

GTA to many people now, they're referring to GTA V. For better or worse, GTA V IS GTA to the casual audience now.

GTA V was on Xbox Game Pass.
GTA V was given out for free via Epic Games Store.
Now, GTA V was "revealed" via PS5 and PS4 players will get $1 million in GTA:O dollars per month until the PS5 version comes out.

Are these companies PAYING Take Two to promote GTA V?

Another re-release? Jesus, did Todd Howard move to Rockstar or something?
I suspect I'm probably in a minority here but I honestly thought IV and V were hot fried dogshit; dull storylines, unlikeable protagonists, too much focus on online...
I'll still be interested to see what VI looks like, even after these two and the letdown that was RDR2 but I have a horrible suspicion it'll either be loaded to the brim with microtransactions or worse, it'll be a "games as a service" model.

Having thought about it some more, maybe they'll finally let us lowly single player fans have access to some of those fancy weapons and vehicles Online has had since the Heist update. Some of that shit like the Hunter and Hydra will be over five years old by the time this port comes out, would it kill Rockstar to throw us a bone?

Not holding my breath since they couldn't be assed enough to throw RDR2 a bone when its Online sort of floundered.

I think the Lowriders Update was the cutoff of new vehicles and weapons for V's single player. I know WHY they did it, but it doesn't make sense to be locked out of content you downloaded.

I'd buy a version of any of the GTAs with the online removed and single player only so the 100%ed game doesn't appear as a mere 15% on my achievement screen and actually reads 100%
The closest thing you'd have to that wish would be GTA IV on PC, the GTA trilogy on PS4 or make a second account.

To think that the company that used to revolutionize the Open-World genre and invent the term "GTA Clone" is now desperately milking their 8 year old game to death
How the mighty have fallen. They have gotten complacent since GTA V and is getting worse by the day.

Is GTA: Online even a prequel anymore? All the events they've retconned, it's practically a paradox if you pay attention to that kind of thing.

GTA V.

First released on PS3 and Xbox 360. Then, PS4 and Xbox One. THEN, the PC.

They re-released GTA V Premium Online Edition with the Criminal Mastermind Pack, then put it on Xbox Game Pass & finally released it for FREE on the Epic Games Store.

Now, GTA V will be re-released ... on the PS5 in 2021.

Now I'm sad Bea is gone because she would have been a great person to play GTA with imo. (Closest we have is her friend Coco Peru)

Bea would be great person to do ANYTHING with.

GTA Online COULD'VE worked with its current concept.

  • Increase and adjust the payout for missions and Shark Cards. $100 in real world money would get you $8,000,000 in GTA money. But everything has gotten more expensive. Inflation to speak, the economy is messed up. The $100 shark card worth should be multiplied.
  • Make CEO/business/biker missions available to private sessions. Imagine trying to collect cargo or drugs or what have you, then the game highlights your current location for everybody to grief you. Let us do those businesses in private sessions. Or if you want to risk it in a public session, increase the payout per player in the lobby.
  • Remove inactive jobs or modes from the map or regular matchmaking. GTA Online is full of modes, some of them are repeats of others. Not everybody plays all the modes, aside from 2XP, RP.
  • If you're a new player or low level, have low level lobbies that limit those for newbies. Considering that you have to level up to increase health, armor and storage, you are underpowered as is with all the futuristic toys.
  • Stop with the RNG and paywalls. To get mods for a sniper rifle, you have to buy a bunker. Then you have to buy a research faculty, then you have to hope that the RNG gives you what you want. AND you have to buy the mod.
  • Limit bunkers/faculties/other buildings to one or two.
Just a few ideas.

So far, that looks impressive. Damn near unrecognizable from the original.

I heard the racing level from the original is damn near impossible. I hope they fixed that.

Remove the flying bikes with missiles. It's honestly such a pain going in a lobby dealing with some cunt with those bikes.

Oppressor Mark II. I don't see the point of that in GTA. Also, stop with the unfair AI. They have pinpoint accuracy, they'll deplete your life in seconds. Sometimes even become "invisible" at times. That's not challenge, that's being cheap.

Exactly, it's such bullcrap. No one asked for cheap garbage like that, yet we got it. It was already pain playing in a GTA online lobby before, but this almost makes it unbearable now.
