His sister is a single mother to two children (in a relationship with the father of the youngest, it looks like but not married to him) and, worst crime of all to a dude like Kidney, her oldest child is mixed race. Mom is a hippie healer/tea dealer who runs a tea and coffee shop and his stepdad wears t-shirts with rainbows on them.

Holiday dinners must be a lot of fun for his family.

It also bears mentioning (again and again) that it's always the pudding-faced dudes who would have a coronary and shit their pants if the elevators went out at work who are most interested in their racial supremacy due to being white.
