That's a very fair point. My concern was for sighting spinoff cows early, but thinking about it, that community, its ideas, and the creators who come up in it are so incestuous that if you're picking up the highlights from a few tentpoles cows and their discord servers, you're going to be catching the up and comers anyway.

I think what I was actually looking for in this purpose was the Youtube Commentary Community General Thread

We might need to get some new thread prefixes, we've got everything from far left/right grifters to cringe anime trash, children's comic books and other weirdos.

I think the criteria for what counts as a "grifter" should be a bit more than "person who says thinks I might disagree with and also makes money in any way", otherwise literally anyone could be part of this subforum.

A certain baseline of "insincerity", "disingenuity", or "disintegrity" should be met before one has a thread be placed or made here.

The Wiktionary definition should be a useful guide here:

(colloquial, especially Internet) A manipulator or otherwise generally corrupt person who "games" a system, group of people, or other entity for selfish gains; especially of a political "sell-out" perceived as lacking integrity.

I'm late to the Weeb Wars/Gunt/Catboy decision, but I think shuttering the Gunt board at the very least is a bit premature. Might want to wait until the end of the year to fully merge these into one.

But if I'm too too late, I'll accept where things are now.

I would like to nominate James Lloyd Evans. I'm not 100% sure he is a fit, but he seems close enough that'd I'll put him up for offering.

Ex Jehovah's witness higher up turned Athiest now adamantly protesting against the church, supporting strong and brave trans women, and helping CSA victims while plugging his Patreon and other grifts endlessly (also cheating on his wife while hiring prostitutes overseas with the Patreon money).

Yeah, its kindda hard to define who is a grifter simply because you don't like him. It is also an adjective applied to individuals, not quite a noun for a certain group of people.

I think you are a grifter mostly if you don't deliver or believe in what are supposedly being paid for. I guess people who attach themselves to a certain movement though they don't actually have any interest or principles that agree to that movement beyond making money off other sympathizers then that would be grifters. Like, Nick Fuentes is a grifter, but his acolytes will swear for him and defend him against every accusation of such, so, even if we think otherwise, they are still getting something they like.

To be honest, I really don't like the whole "grift" name for this forum, cause outside of actual scams involving physical goods not being delivered I don't think Null or KF as a whole should be judges of who is a "grifter" on subjective topics.

Might even cause legal troubles from people who decide they are being slandered, I mean, they are being classified as grifters and all of their content on this site is filed under that label. It's not something a random anon user posted, its something the site administration decided.

They could simply make an argument that grifter is just another word for scammer and we're going to drag you to court to fight against those accusations, and I don't think Null is going to be able to say he didn't classify them as such himself.

Honestly, I would prefer to just have a "The sektur" sub forum and put all the people adjacent to the IBS in there. Anyone who wants to cause trouble would first have to explain who Ethan Ralph is and how they are related to him in a legal document first rather than a simply "Joshua Connor Moon is accusing me of being a scammer and he's trying to be cute about it".

They have to be a salesman of something, let it be a worldview or an idea. I think most importantly they must be making most of their money from Internet clout.
