@Piga Dgrifm: It's like Sonichu. They have no genuine creative inspiration so they rip off what they know.

I was working on this scriptSeries Finale: Gumdrop visits the glue factory.
I was about to complain about the lack of brothas in the picture (and GA for that matter) but the concept of a kid conning others kids with snake oil sold me.So...Hermione Granger copy, snake oil saleskid (who based on the colors almost certainly is heavily borrowing from a certain pony cartoon who already did that episode plot), and...I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate that's a redrawn mage of some sort from a Final Fantasy game.

It has nothing to do with pods. It has nothing to do with people. It has everything to do with hurting. It's like pod people.

She will either be a stereotype, or just be almost a background character that happens to be blackI think Mr.Enter said on a stream some time ago that maybe one of Sally's friends was going to be black. But it was a while ago, so I can't be too sure.

*Steve design "leaks"*I definitely remember Mr.Enter saying that Steve (Timmy's slacker employee) won't be black because that would be racist.
So having black characters with flaws is racist?
This explains why so many attempts to add diversity to cartoons fail.
Honestly it can go either way. Just having a typical slacker character, fine. Having that being a sole characteristic and how he handles the dialogue can make it insanely racist. It's a tight rope to walk and while kind of cowardly I get why you would think twice about the character. So having black characters with flaws is racist?

Doesn't explain why the many other characters couldn't be black though.
I'm guessing because it's because Steve's a slacker, and having, him be black would imply that blacks are lazy. As a black person myself, though, I wouldn't mind it.
He could make on of the teachers black or something. They'd still be important to some of the plots that way.
