when my EDC was a kel-tec pf9 i did a fluff and buff on it. id recommend it to anyone with a keltec.
i took some very fine sandpaper and gave a good polish to all the metal parts and the feed ramp. i followed this up with a dremel tool with a soft buffer pad on it. finished up with a cleaning and lube job. shot countless rounds at the range with it, never had any issues.
i also did the at home fiber optic sight install.
get a small pen drill, drill out the front and rear sights, install fiber optics, cut to length, then use a lighter to "bulb up" the ends. didnt really help me see at night, but in low light was a bit easier to see. not a night and day difference and certainly not a replacement for night sights, but they do stand out a bit better.
my current EDC is sig p365 which i have a crimson trace red dot and a handall grip sleeve on (i didnt care of the sandpaper like grip texture on it,plus the handla has the finger grove thing on it i like)
for my AK, i used to have a
seeall sight on it (picture below) they dont get talked about much, but i liked it. low weight, low profile.no batteries required. easy to see in the day, i have the night version, and find it very easy to se at night. . i also liked the delta sight post it has. i recomend the. my only problem was it didnt seem to work well with my magnifier which is the only reason i swapped it out for a red dot. if i ditch the magnifier im going back to using it.
only other mod i made to my ak was changing out the pisol grip for a more ergonomic one.
the seeall sight:
