It seems like every time there is some awful event, the moment it is revealed to be caused by a gun; the same opportunistic people just pop right out of the woodwork to demand that guns be regulated. I call these people opportunistic for a reason. They see each appalling event, each sad moment, and each dismal occurrence as an opportunity to take things that belong to all of us. In this case they seek power, the power that the gun represents.

Mankind is defined by its ability to shape its world and defend itself through the use of tools, Guns are the ultimate extension of this. The opportunists like @Dynastia and @CatParty seek to take everything from us that makes us men and human so they can castrate us into a form lower than subservient dogs. They want power all for themselves and to dictate how we should live our lives.

Make no mistake, this is part of a broader assault on all that makes us manly and dare I say even human. These people want power and to reduce us to cowed shivering fragile husks who are even more broken then they are so we might have need of them.

These insecure people whether it be because of guilt or lack of any real physical prowess need for the rest of the human race to be weaker than they are because they are scared little beings who cannot ever stand on their own. No one would ever want them or look to them because of how broken they are otherwise. They need to declare themselves the experts and all of us the broken so they might have some level of significance.

They are human trash that should not be fled from but finally confronted. If not on this issue, they will push for equality in income or race, but always make sure to preserve just a little bit more prestige and power for themselves because without it; they are so caustically vile that we would discard them in the nearest landfill.

I don't normally powerlevel, but you asked what I believe is a legitimate question and I will have to powerlevel to answer it honestly, as per your post.

Some time ago, I was living alone in a new apartment. I hadn't been living in my particular unit for more than about a week or so when random, shady-looking characters started showing up at my door at all hours, asking for some person who I can only assume must have lived there before I moved in (and who must also have been a drug dealer).

One day, I hear yet another knock, only this time it's not polite nor friendly. Someone is pounding on the door. I peek through the window blinds and see some huge, angry-looking guy beating on the door with both fists. I called 911 and asked them to send police ASAP, and hoped he would just think no one was home, give up, and go away.

The guy then started shouting and kicking, and the door was starting to come off the hinges. I knew it wouldn't likely hold until police arrived, so I got my shotgun and hid behind a wall away from the door/entryway. He kicked the door all the way in, and stomped into my home. I was already locked, loaded, and racked, and I shouted GTFO NOW. He wheeled around and was about to come at me when he realized what I was holding, at which point he ran back out the door just as police arrived. It was terrifying.

They stopped the guy as he ran out of my home, and he was taken into custody.

Why did I own a shotgun in the first place? Because I come from a military and law-enforcement background, and guns were always part of normal life for me.

Turns out later, our boy was not only a drug addict, he was a schizophrenic with a record of violence.

As to shooting for fun? Yes, I also enjoy recreational shooting - targets, though. I have never killed any living creature, and I hope I never have to.

tl;dr

My gun saved my life.

Humanity politicizes tragedy because tragedy is what tells us when and how our system is failing. Saying it's "opportunistic" to discuss gun laws after events like Sandy Hook is like saying it's "opportunistic" to discuss fire escape requirements after the Triangle Shirtwaist tragedy.

I personally do not believe we need to completely outlaw guns - that's impractical and just a bad idea in general. However, :powerlevel: I live in a state where they tried to do away with gun licenses for concealed carry and required training, and that's just idiocy at its finest.

If you're going to purchase a gun, you should be required to have proper training for it. I'm not having a bunch of city kids who've never handled a gun before shooting themselves or others because they didn't know how to use the fucking safety.

Yeah, I serve in the US military , in Iraq, three times.

We rolled on the Republican Guard, and whooped insurgents in fire fights every time we made contact, yet we still couldn't stop them from blowing up a 120 people the next day with a car bomb.

The fact is the kids I played soccer with in the streets were the same ones firing AK47s at me.

You can't defeat an insurgency with technology.
 
https://weaponsgradewaifus.com/ are a bunch of weeb gun spergs who go around to cons selling anime patches and shit. they’re kind of a bunch of dicks, posting videos on their main Facebook page heckling cosplayers and going to shooting ranges and using printouts of anime characters as target practice (they really don’t like Love Live!). they’ve also posted videos before of them bringing guns to cons iirc. last year they sold stickers of one of the girls from Love Live! brutally beaten up/dead, because mentally sound adult men bring guns to anime conventions and fantasize about murdering teenage school girls over some petty anime fandom feud, i guess.

EDIT:Upon closer inspection I retract this statement, their merchandise is shit. But still, fuck love live fanbase.

Actually, upon having a closer look, I now think their merch is bad and in poor taste. Especially that description of Akemi Homura patch triggered me a bit and made me think they have never even watched Madoka Magicka.

Still, I support the idea of making anime merchendise featuring anime characters with weapons. Also cosplaying with real firearms is pretty cool too(in countries where normal firearms are not available, air gun and air soft gun fulfil a similar purpose, but..how to say it? it's not the same) . But of course, I don't know anything about these people since it's the first time I heard about them. Maybe they are actually a bunch of retards after all.

I don't really have much else to say in this thread, as 80% of my personality is directly or indirectly related to guns, but let me tell you one type of gun person I really hate.

Lemme tell yer bout Mosin-Nagant purists. These Sovietcucks are so autistic about the Mosin-Nagant, that if you change EVEN ONE THING from stock on your rifle, they will call you 'Bubba', and screech that you are destroying history. Yes, the history of a rifle with the longest active service period of any gun. There are tens of millions of these guns, and I'm literally Hitler for resmithing my own property.

You really care that much if I modify the trigger play in my Mosin with some soda can metal? You really give a shit that I put a picatinny rail on my rear sight mount? It really bothers you that I bought a second stock to modify for fun? You really dislike the fact that I made my rifle accurate to 700m with really basic modifications? Get out of town, faggot. I will do what I want.

Its not just Moist Nugget purists. Military Surplus (Or "Milsurp") guys get really anal over details of their guns. In those circles, "Bubba" is the red-necked gunsmith boogyman who ruins everything about any gun they touch before the milsurp guy picks it up, leaving them to undo their work.

Any modification to a previously unmolested milsurp is absolute heresy to them.
