I'm reading a lot of such debate here, and using the minority that are gun owners that behave in a stupid and irresponsible way as an argument against gun ownership in general.

There's no debate, guns should be illegal.

Especially for police and military.

I wouldn't say that's true, although it is true that a well organized guerilla militia is often able to hold out nearly indefinitely even against a vastly superior force, at least in the sort of guerilla war situation you often see in South America, where it goes on for decades with little change.

What burning sense of inadequacy haunts you that you need to take power away from someone else or a large group of people that as of this moment have not really done anything wrong?

The vast majority of anti gun rhetoric is based on lies and feelings, using cherry picked data that is manipulated by certain inclusions to force a desired conclusion. Gun control was started in America because of racism in the south. Sorry when a crazed depraved person commits a mass killing I blame the person, the family and friends that failed them not the tools. Why is it were the gun control is the strictest the gun crime is the highest? The millions Bloomberg and anti gunners waste on useless research that was designed from the get go with anti gun bias could be spent on education and mental health. Areas of expenditure that would helped reduce mass shootings and suicides. Than again it is not about the people dying it is more about control than any thing for the anti gun movement. Hence why Chicago's insane murder spree is largely ignored.

Is it bad that I kind of want to own that handmade Martini-Henry action single-shot target pistol on the top right? I think it's a pretty neat bit of gunsmithing unlike the other Mad Max garbage. They kinda fucked up the grip a little bit but you could fix that.
