>Lead writer of Deadlock is Saints Row writer.

Looked up, had me worried for a second lol. I haven't played SR1 or 2 but I know that they garnered a fanbase for a reason. I suppose it's an alright choice.

He worked on the first three Saints Row games, the first two games actually have interesting stories while the third game was when Volition went off the rails and started making Saints Row 100 percent the “heccin zany” crime sandbox game, and to be honest the writing in that game is really underbaked and of it’s time, but even that game had its moments and I partially blame the story being how it is on THQ’s financial woes.
I knew Jaros jumped ship to Valve after SRTT, it’s good to see he’s still around.

I think they ran a lot of them through adobe enhance because they probably recorded all of them on their own microphones of poor quality
This is my thought too. Some of them sound AI-ish, particularly one of the women in the first few maps but after hearing it again it does have that indescribable scratchiness(?) that Adobe Enhance has.

An early prototype of Half-Life / Blue Shift on the Dreamcast dated September 11th, 2000 has been found:

Bros, I think the True & Honest G-Man promising 'unforeseen surprises' and "see you in the new year" might actually mean something.

(At the start of the video it sounds like Shapiro kinda slips into his Barney voice.)

Maybe it was to make it seem like it was just Mike doing his regular voice until he slowly shifts into the G-Man
