Now, I love Barney, but it's totally no homo. He's the dude who always gives me my crowbar.
 
Just finished the mod Field Intensity and I must say it is quite good, voice acting is pretty bad but no xen levels, based on opposing force i believe so you get opposing force weapons, Pretty good levels felt like classic half life with higher production value given the tools modders have access to nowadays, the story is so so but its a fun sort of expansion if you will to half-life.

I couldn't really shake the classic feeling of "this sure is a mod that I'm playing" all throughout as compared to something like Echoes where it felt more "official" I guess? That's the best way I can put it. That ending was very disappointing, Echoes does the whole Nuke ending angle way better and it's final section also had the feeling that I knew that I was living on borrowed time and I probably wasn't going to make it out. FI I felt like I fought to Hell and back and wasn't rewarded for it. Maybe my expectations were too high. Overall though it was still pretty good.

Also Richter is a terrible voice actor. I could do better.

If HLX runs as badly on my Steam Deck as Project Borealis's five minute demo did then I may well commit a hatecrime. It should be a sin for games based on Valve properties to not run well on Valve Machines!
