But, then why would someone start off by retailing the previous hospitalization when he was on life support, which would obviously be on the focus on your mind at the time? The wording just isn't right with the way it's told. In the situation that he was on life support, then a concerned parent would be in obvious distress and start with that instead of ending the email with it.
Because the videos were from last year. I do think she's trying to guilt the e-mailer, but nothing strikes me as particularly illogical about what she's saying.
Edit: I should say that the videos that were sent to her were from the previous year.
