Has Chris mellowed too much?

Remember during Classic Chris antics where he'd get all hyped up, scream, his body flailing insanely and boot out some incredible catchphrases?


Nowadays, despite being more wary of trolling than ever (and still being decieved), Chris barely seems to wrack up anything more than pathetic whining. He doesn't get angry, he just gets moany. His postings still have a lot of capitals and exclamation marks but in footage he seems to be too exhausted and depressed to muster more than a few sighs and seems more happy trying to gain sympathy. I miss when he would scream so loud and fast that he'd lose his train of thought and forget himself.

Look at the last big trolling attempt with Johan and the lesbian couple. Chris barely raised his voice when attacking Johan's character. He sat, picking away at his fingers and quietly mumbled away to himself. Sure, he had the video where he acted out what happened with lego figures, but he was really subdued and barely intelligable with the baby talk voices. I expected him to blow up when the polls came back with Johan the winner, bashing his character for STD's and such, but it was just forgotten about and never brought up again.

Do you think we'll ever see a fired up Chris again? and what do you think caused him to be more mellow? Age:c, tiredness*sigh*, trying to be more ladylike:tomgirl:, maturing (:_(?

To be fair, in some of the more recent videos he speaks in an agonizingly slow mumble and still loses his train of thought every ten seconds or so.
 
You're nostalgic for what once was. We all get that way sometimes.

Never fear, life goes on and something else will fall into your lap to entertain you.

And Chris does still have his shock factor, a horrifying and surreal one, but still...

There's that.
 
I think Chris has mellowed out a little. For the most part I think Chris just wised up

Edit: By wising up, I mean just a small amount that's hardly noticeable. He's still an idiot, but it's harder now to talk to him, troll him, or make him look foolish

It definitely seems like he's mellowed out compared to how he was in the past, but I think he's just wised up. He still has outbursts, he just doesn't let us see them.
 
I'm sure Chris can still tard rage hard on videos, just nothing has really pushed his buttons enough to do it recently.
Back in the day trolls tried a number of different things to get chris to rage and sometimes they would work and sometimes they wouldn't, he was always kind of unpredictable when it came to this. Like you'd think finding out your girlfriend was actually a 12 year old boy who posted a video of you nude online and made you shove plastic up your ass would make a dude pretty mad, but instead he was just kind of disappointed that he wasn't gonna get laid. Meanwhile if you're Alec, all you have to do is draw an image of chris on fire and you have tard rage gold.

Anyways, jump ahead to today. There's considerably less trolling since the house fire and chris has become more paranoid about who he talks to, he also has Facebook now which means that chris doesn't have to post a video to show us his anger, he can just spend less effort typing it up instead.
I don't think he's mellowed out, I just think he doesn't share his anger as much now.
 
He has very little energy now compared to then, I agree. The 'spark' is gone. :(

His age and health probably has something to do with it, and also the fact that these videos were done before Bob's death.

This is true. My theories are his diet and just flat out lack of exercise.

Or for all we know, he's back on some anti-depressant or tard drug that keeps him in line.

But mostly, I think it's lack of energy all around.
 
He's probably going through more precautions not to get harassed anymore. That and a sheer lack of energy due to his diet, lack of exercise, as well as the pain from his damaged taint may be keeping him in line.
 
I disagree that Chris has "mellowed", at least in a way that is healthy to him. I think it's a combination of 2 things.

1. Chris has retreated further into his autism land. I think he rages less because he cares less about reality and how he is perceived in reality. I don't think he is scitzo, just heavily disassociated with his reality.

2. His health and physical condition. Chris has poor hygiene, diet, exercise and daily structure. These conditions will make anyone highly lethargic over time. Looking at Chris's skin and hair and eyes I suspect he'll be encountering some real health problems soon (not to even mention that he has an inflamed open infection-hole on his taint)

So if he has mellowed in behavior, he has not mellowed in mental illness, and the damage is likely irreversible.
 
It might be a combination between his poor health, resulting in lack of energy, and the type of "trolling" going on. Back in the day people actively seeked to ruin Chris's day either by very coordinated attacks or just randomly send him unpleasant mail and calls. Nowadays people tend to police themselves from contacting Chris in any way, shape or form. And many of those who contact Chris tend to give him money for stupid, half-assed content. Maybe Chris realized the type of approach that he should take. When he rages people laugh and parade his antics everywhere. When he sighs and feels depressed people give him money.

He is still a dick and attacks people from time to time, but his attacks are not filled with rage anymore. They are more smug and filled with mockery.
