Has Chris mellowed too much?

Nowadays, despite being more wary of trolling than ever (and still being decieved), Chris barely seems to wrack up anything more than pathetic whining. He doesn't get angry, he just gets moany. His postings still have a lot of capitals and exclamation marks but in footage he seems to be too exhausted and depressed to muster more than a few sighs and seems more happy trying to gain sympathy. I miss when he would scream so loud and fast that he'd lose his train of thought and forget himself.

Look at the last big trolling attempt with Johan and the lesbian couple. Chris barely raised his voice when attacking Johan's character. He sat, picking away at his fingers and quietly mumbled away to himself. Sure, he had the video where he acted out what happened with lego figures, but he was really subdued and barely intelligable with the baby talk voices. I expected him to blow up when the polls came back with Johan the winner, bashing his character for STD's and such, but it was just forgotten about and never brought up again.

Do you think we'll ever see a fired up Chris again? and what do you think caused him to be more mellow? Age:c, tiredness*sigh*, trying to be more ladylike:tomgirl:, maturing (:_(?

I miss the old Chris; he was a once in a lifetime virgin that we'll never see again.

If Old Chris saw what he would become; he wouldn't be able to handle it

Seems a distinct lack of Sonichu and Blarms issues after he settled into his transition.

We already have this mess coming out next month. The funny thing is, Chris fails to understand that only Sonic Boom Sonic is blue armed, then there's classic and Adventure Sonic with the tan arms.
 
lol at people who think Chris is more mellow because hes learned things and not because of regular osterogel rub downs and years of a sedentary junk food fueled lifestyle catching up with him.

 
Just like wine that went sour after being fermented with bacteria instead of yeast, Chris too has mellowed. Chris' lifestyle is a major factor, but I think it only got worse after the Blarms Saga. Chris obviously projected some components of his psyche onto Sonic and Sonichu (mainly the manly parts) and after he felt he had lost control of them, he became a bowl of blathering oatmeal wearing MLP clothing and a bow.
 
My view on this is... bittersweet.

On one part, him not screaming at the top of his lungs when he gets angry anymore makes it alot more convenient for me to actually understand what the fuck Chris is saying and not run to the CWCki for a transcript at the first sign of screaming. (No seriously, how do you guys making the transcripts do it? I am convinced you are doing gods work)

On the other hand however, it is proof that Chris is just getting depressed and not nearly as energetic. He's jaded. He can't push himself to be mad anymore because he has no reason to care. And that for me actually makes me a little sad.

Along with the second side, this is proof that he probably can't scream and yell and "run and kick and punch" anymore because of his poor health. He probably gets winded everytime he tries to do those things so you know, whats the point if it hurts you? He's probably learned to calm down.

While this does keep his stress levels lower than before by being more mellow and learning to calm down, its a sign of some really depressing shit.
 
It's always hard to predict what will make Chris spazz out. There were loads of Sonichu parodies, but for some reason Asperchu was the one that really pressed his buttons. Pretending to be Sonichu's creator or otherwise infringing got him a bit angry, but Liquid Chris brought new levels of insanity. There have been lots of changes to Sonic, but blue arms made Chris turn terrorist. I think we could see new craziness from Chris, but it would be something no one predicted.

That being said, I think the main issue is that Chris has gotten older, fatter and lazier. Like, unbelievably lazy, so lazy that even impotent bawling takes too much effort. One day he'll lie down and decide that moving his diaphragm is too tiring, and just stop breathing.
 
Meh Fatty is just lazy and getting lazier as he ages.

Doing Stuff...takes effort

Being mad...takes energy

Making money...takes effort

It's easiest just to sit and wallow, after all he's got pretty much everything he needs right now and he just doesn't care enough to about the other stuff to bother getting up the juice to go get it.

TLDR; Fatty is a fat fuck who'd rather play vidya while sitting around the house all day then be a grown up.
 
Chris is 34.

Sure, he's autistic, arrogant, naive, uncritical, unmotivated, exceptional and child-like but he is not literally a child anymore. Despite the slow mental development he eventually went through the same change as everyone else, in which the overactive and emotion-driven interests are slowly replaced with more timid, focused and realistic aspirations. Although being the exceptional individual that he is Chris ended up with nothing to be really passionate about.

His lifestyle isn't helping either. His body is sustained entirely on simple sugars, high-fructose corn syrup and nutritionally-sparse processed wheat and animal cartilage marinated in bad oils and preservatives and to top it off he spends the high majority of his waking time sedentary, breathing the fungal spores from his own filth with his eyes glued to a screen. His endocrine and circadian systems must be completely out of whack and you expect him to have energy?

Edit: Oh and he butters himself with menopause gel daily.
 
Chris is certainly more lethargic now than he has been in the past year or so. In my opinion, he's heavily disconnected from reality. He mentally runs and hides from problems. I think the main reason he actually pays bills and so forth is because it's the path of least resistance. It doesn't matter to him, and he has no concept of long-term finances or anything like that, so why invest energy into it?

I think people also underestimate the sheer amount of Pavlovian conditioning Chris has been given over the years, all of it negative. Everything he does ends in failure, and no matter how deluded he is, that has got to affect him on some level. What, exactly, does he have to gain from getting furious over every little thing that comes up in his life? It hasn't helped him in the past, and it doesn't help him today. He might not even consciousness realize it, but I think there is a lot of defensive mental shenanigans going on inside his head that we're not directly aware of. He has his bread & circuses in the form of McDonalds and a PS4, so he really doesn't need to seriously invest in anything else that he can't avoid.
 
It's funny that you made this thread because yesterday I watched the exact same video and his recent most angry video against 'Johan,' who he believed was going around under his name and the contrast is just striking.

That video is meant to be the one out of the new crop where he gets most angry and even then it was tame in comparison to some of his least angry classic rage videos, which is strange to see.

I think people who say that his health problems have made him more lethargic are probably right but I also think that his court mandated therapy also helped him in some way. Now he's built up some sort of inner system that prevents him from getting too angry, at least on video. It's subtle but his therapy has clearly had some effect on him. Now when he makes a mistake that he gets mocked for he just gets the attitude of 'well everyone makes mistakes,' and doesn't get annoyed or bothered by it anywhere near as much as he used to.

While being calmer works both ways when it comes to it being a positive or negative thing, in my mind it's one of the ways that he's genuinely improved as a person since the pepper spray incident.
 
He got arrested for pepper spraying people while in the process of vandalizing a gamestop over blarms, what do you think?

When he makes videos nowadays he's not doing it to "respond" to people like he used to, that's about the only difference. Now he keeps his outbursts confined to incoherent facebook rants

I'm not sure mellowed is the right term. He may not leap about on camera anymore but he's regressed into being static lump of bitterness and resentment.

The Gamestop assault wasn't comical anger, it was nasty and spiteful.
