Hasan Piker / HasanAbi - Young Turk, Twitch Streamer, Stunlocked Brogressive, Cenk's Nephew, only a socialist for the money

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I am to lazy to find the clips, but one I saw a little bit of some other leftist covering Hasan's debate with Ethan Klein. Hasan's views are so incoherent.
It's obvious he doesn't think about he believes and only believes what is the cool thing to believe to his target audience. He likes narratives and talking points.
So he was extoling the virtues of central planning, but then a few minutes later went on about the moral need for work place democracy. My question is this. How are these things compatible ? Let's say the government say wants to build a new rail system to improve the transport of raw materials and improve the economy. Obviously they want this done by a certain time to maximize utility, but then the worker co op that lays train tracks doesn't want to lay as much track in a day as the government wants. How do you rectify this ?

I know we all love to bully Vaush and that is for good reason I have partook in my fair share of Vaush bullying, but I have to give the credit where it's do, Vaush is a million times smarter then Hasan and it's not even close (not saying Vaush is exceptionally intelligent just that Hasan is so dumb anyone looks smart compared to him). Vaush for all his asinine beliefs clearly puts some thought into what he believes and why he believes what he believes.
Hasan's popularity is one of the most depressing things to me. There is no way to slice it beyond "women find him attractive, so he gets a pass on absolutely everything."

As you said, he follows what's popular. If you dig really deep into his history online, he initially hosted some dudebro portions of TYT where he talked about "banging chicks" and stuff like that. He eventually got backlash for this because he was labeled sexist, his uncle told him to dial it down, and he went on to get backlash for a number of things over the years.

He gets those backlash episodes precisely BECAUSE he doesn't actually have deep understanding for anything he's talking about, so lo and behold he periodically "misfires" and says something unpopular. And the only thing that changes is he refines his system to better hone in on what's popular. Hasan is ultimately like the police officer that signs up so they have a "legal" way to shoot someone: he only signs on with the beliefs he has in order to find a way for society to support him lobbing smooth-brained dudebro insults at people.

The only constants throughout his internet career are:

1) He hones in on what's popular.

2) First thing he does when he disagrees with or is upset by someone is insult their appearance. You would think this would be a huge red flag that screams "horrendous empathy" if the same guy blessed with being called attractive loves to go around making others feel bad about their looks, but no, people love his shows where he watches political clips and then calls people that disagree with him ugly. He insulted women's appearances in his early days of TYT and got flack for it, he does the same now but only does it to Republican woman and lo and behold people cheer him on.

I pop into his stream once in a blue moon out of fascination with the guy's popularity because to me he seems like a horrendous human being, and it's always the same: silently chewing his food while watching other people's content, shilling about how you can avoid the ad break by subbing, banning people that disagree with them with a dismissive "ur like, stupid bro," and he'll immediately insult the appearance of any political figure he disagrees with.

I find it a painful piece of irony that the dude claims to be woke, but you could find clips of him mocking women, the disabled, overweight people, etc., and to me that says it all: if someone's disabled and shares his political beliefs, he understands "the mob" likes and supports this person, so he can't do anything. If they harbor the "wrong" opinions though, Hasan knows this might be fair game and LOOOOOVES to indulge in the childish insults. For him, politics is slinging childish insults at each other.

My favorite "critique" of Hasan is accidental and actually a small clip from melina I got recommended one day. (could have her name wrong, I don't really follow the big streamers)

Basically, she confessed she enjoys watching his stream and listening to him and finds him attractive and enjoys looking at him, but then goes onto say "maybe it's just me, but when I try to focus on his words and what he's saying, it doesn't really make sense to me."

She laughed at this and dismissed the problem like some belief she's too stupid to understand him or she's too distracted by his appearance to understand, but no girl, you nailed it: dude doesn't make sense, and the real shame is he's unfortunately very popular and probably responsible for teaching a huge group of young dumb impressionable people that "politics is when childishly insult others."

Yeah Hassan is an icky champaign socialist turkroach

It's retarded to apply this to Taiwan, but there definitely is a SEVERE historically illiterate romanticization of Tibet in America. It was a pretty brutal feudal society run by a sclerotic religious aristocracy born out of a revolt against the disintegrating Qing empire. They weren't sitting around the Buddha statue singing Kumbaya - you can't have that hippy-dippy bullshit and survive on the arid, wind-scoured plateau that makes up the 'roof of the world'. Tibetan Buddhism is pretty brutal and dark, it's not at all the 'peace and kindness' religion that it's made out to be by dumb AWFLs.

That said, China didn't invade them to save the poor Tibetan serfs. They did it to secure strategically important high ground, but most of all to control the source of a huge amounts of very strategically important rivers in East Asia. They've already used this control as political leverage to great effect. Of course, part of China's MO when it comes to controlling its borderlands is to export Han Chinese populations and assimilate and subjugate their cultures. I don't think China intends to eliminate Tibetan Buddhism, it's basically going to do that same thing it did to Chinese Catholicism - subordinate it to the CCP. That's why they took control of the Panchen Lama selection process - they want to select the next Dalai Lama and use him as a puppet to keep the region quiescent and loyal.

With that all said, it fucking hilariously hypocritical for Ethan to freak out about the cultural genocide in Tibet while supporting Israel, a country that is hell-bent on genociding Christian & Muslim Palestinians on a straight-up lebensraum justification - one which is way less noble than even the brutal realpolitik that ultimately underlies China's actions in Tibet.

Say what you want about conversatives and Republicans (and there's a hell of a lot of criticisms towards them), but at least they can have a decent conversation with a YouTuber without saying the craziest shit possible.

You see folks like Dave Rubin and Brandon Tatum and Jordan Peterson talk to Republican candidates like DeSantis, Ramaswamy and Haley and not have it be an absolute dumpsterfire with the craziest shit possible said.

The art of simply having a conversation with someone is just in Hasan, Vaush and Keffals' posse. It's just a yelling match, throwing pejoratives, saying insane things or just avoiding outreach altogether and trying to snipe from afar.

The same with people like ContraPoints. The only person I see him having talks with that have somewhat different views on things is Blaire White, simply because they're both troons. Unless I'm missing some information.

@A Flying Nun

Hasan's popularity is one of the most depressing things to me. There is no way to slice it beyond "women find him attractive, so he gets a pass on absolutely everything."

Unfortunately, this is how it works. People focus on folks that are attractive. Whether they have any substance to their content or not is irrelevant. You can make this case towards leftists. You can make this case towards the right or center. It doesn't matter.

100%, but I see no better, more blatant example of this than Hasan. He somehow has people believing his content is "political" when the extent of his commentary is usually tossing out a "dude ur lyk...so fucking stupid bro like seriously" and banning dissent between chewing his food.

I'm not a big fan of political commentators in social media in general because it's my fear they all end up addicted to smelling their own farts, since the type of community that line of work tends to breed is a bunch of yes men. In an ideal world, we'd have political commentators that can interact and exchange their conflicting thoughts and ideas with each other WITHOUT hating each other, because it would keep all of them back down on earth in terms of ego. Sadly, echo chambers are the more realistic outcome.

And while the cynical part of me knows if he were to finally lose popularity, he'll just be replaced by another guy just as full of himself, a part of me would still welcome Hasan being shamed and forgotten just because his approach in particular seems especially bad. He's like the poster child for "shout and insult your opposition into submission," and he's gotten a pass so many times when by now the internet should know this dude is just a braindead idiot that just wants a convenient excuse to lob insults at other people and still get approval for it. Would be nice to have someone not quite as stupid as him that also doesn't have as much pretty privilege protecting them.

As much as this guy deserves to be ripped and then some for CCP talking points, the internet also collectively took CCP propaganda with that whole 'suck my tongue fiasco' (which is an entirely separate fiasco).

That said, China didn't invade them to save the poor Tibetan serfs. From the looks of it, they already did, at least in Tibetan Buddhist temples outside of Tibet.

If what Manbunpig is saying is true, it means that even the shit they've said/done was too hot for WH, and what tipped them off was Hassan's Taiwan stance.
So good job on fucking over his corner of the net. Actual good thing he's managed, and he didn't even meaningfully do it.
The fact that this was even on the table makes me furious.
I seriously hope everyone involved in the federal government dies of AIDs.

Having to compare China‘s invasion of Tibet to the South trying to dominate in the Civil War is proof that the educational (public schooling, if we’re being honest) system has failed so much, that I don’t even think I should shake my head in disgust or laugh about this anymore.

It’s all just tiresome at this point.
The south wasn't trying to dominate, they were trying to take their ball and go home. Just like the founding fathers a few generations before them.

It's hard to be "the dumb one" in a group that includes a vocal pedo apologist and a literal fart dominatrix.
this isn't Keffal's thread but this really cannot be understated. The democrats want to curry favor via a failed fart dominatrix. A tranny canadian who faked their farts and were NOT successful and got negative reviews for their fake farts.

been checking the Destiny reddit every now and then for confirmation on the WH event that Hasan got rejected from
Vaush leaks why the White House stream was cancelled, and its hilarious
he said he doesnt know for sure, but claims that once Hasans Taiwan stance came to light, the WH did a PR check into everybody (Emma, Vaush, Destiny)
the event at the actual White House with official staffers was cancelled likely following failing the PR check
just magical
Not getting to see Vaush's horse cock touching hands shake hands with the President's child incest touching hands is a tragedy.
That said the upside! They seem genuinely pissed at Hasan so maybe bread tubers will start tearing each other apart.

My head canon is that Ethan Klein hates Hassan and saw how he said America did 9/11 then was shut up by Cenk. Then Ethan decides to give him a podcast so this guy can hang himself everyday with his opinions, and Ethan is just egging him on and making money off of him. Truly the most ruthless capitalist. Jews Rock!
To add to that theory, Hasan is obviously pro Palestine while Ethan is a zionist, he chose to get Israeli citizenship his wife straight up fought for the IDF.
Though Hasan is very milquetoast with his "Anti Zionism not anti Semitism" shit. Once again as I established earlier Hasan clearly believes in some level of Turkish nationalism. Turkey and Israel have always been good allies so I think he soft balls Israel so Turkey gets less hate from his audience.

God, you can fucking hear the seething in his voice. He's so angry, but like a good little fence sitting cuck, he plays along.
I bet the only reason he isn't going in on Hassan is that he imagines Hassan getting into power somehow and when it happens he'll be right there wagging his tail like a dog.

"We're friends, right Hassan? Remember when the white house cancelled our four way with a tranny and I didn't flip? C'mon, Hassan, throw a bone to your old pal, Destiny!"

Destiny at least tries to not be pro censorship and for that he should be commended no matter how dumb his opinions may be

It reminds me of something that I read, possibly in this thread. Leftist influencers like Hasan will pretend that they're streaming from a corner of a studio apartment when they're streaming from their millionaire mansions. Rightwing influencer like Tim Pool will pretend that they're streaming from a millionaire compound when it's actually a shitty little retail space in suburban Burbank.

In the same way, leftist influencers will go out of their way to position themselves as wanting the most extreme, revolutionary (and unpopular) politics of all while being perfectly content with whatever status quo lets them do whatever they're already doing. Rightwing influencers will play nice with each other and pretend to all be on the same page when the only thing they actually agree on is hating leftists.
