Hasan's pro-China stance is mainly a result of his anti-US (and anti-western) stance. The US is bad because of it's imperialism, colonialism, its treatment of the poor and minorities etc. And China is good because it's a counter to the west. Of course you can't really square these answers, because China is on paper exactly what Hasan and his ilk hates. China is the biggest regional power who bullies their neighbors, having border disputes with practically all of them. They are actively trying to wipe out other peoples within their borders through resettlement and "reeducation". It's a one party surveillance state that has no qualms about disappearing you if you stand in their way. And they have their neo-colonialist claws deep into Africa and other poor countries.

This isn't anything new from Hasan, but it's not often that he's so clear about his hypocrisy. Apparently he's so retarded that he thinks his praise of China and its ways isn't completely shattering his criticisms of the west.

He didn't openly justify how China tries to assimilate Tibet, Xinjiang and inner Mongolia into Han China with force as far as I know, but still, he's basically gone there. He apparently thinks it's okay for them to "reeducate" detractors in the name of stability, so I guess the next step is praising the stabilizing effect of ethnonationalism

Many have pointed out that how authoritarian China is a for all the lipstick on that pig it's a nightmare.

But Hasan wasn't wrong about Tibet's past pre-China. The funny part is that instead of judging the people of Tibet by the population of today he's judging them by their ancestors and by doing so he's using the colonial defense to defend China being there. It's the classic "We have to civilize these Savages".
 
Even if the Taiwan stuff didn't happen. Hasan was going to end up saying some horrifically stupid shit about Israel and Palestine concerning Gaza's attack this morning. And if you think his pro-CCP content raised some eyebrows in the White House, his anti-Israel content would have them blacklisting him forever. Vaush, too.
