How I see it is that Linus isn't nearly as left-leaning as Hasan, so he mocks him for how ridiculous his commie facade is. Not to mention that Linus is definitely pro-capitalism and finds someone who claims to be communist while at the same time living off of capitalism worthy of mockery. The most obvious example of race-mixing not being a solution to racism in the US is the whole "colorism" trend that blacks subscribe to, where even light-skinned blacks are considered oppressors of dark-skinned blacks. Humans will find a way to be racist even if your skin is 1% darker or lighter than theirs, it's just tribal nature.
