Hasan is, in my view, the ur-example of someone who legitimately does not have either the imagination or the critical thinking to know what to do with success. His streams are just hours of him sitting in a chair, sometimes not even that, and whining over contemporary politics or attempting to start beefs with other creators. I'm convinced a large chunk of his audience are there for the same reason people went to freak shows.

As much as I think Infrared Haz is a raging autist, he made some similar points to those you're making now, and ultimately he's right. Hasan has the power to affect political change single handedly, he can start a super-pac, fund IRL political activism, back unionization efforts, basically the only thing he can't really do is run for office himself because how toxic his brand is to normal people, who only know him as the Turkroach that celebrated 9/11. Hasan doesn't actually care about these things because they're not to his own benefit, or personal gain. I don't know anything about them beyond the two videos I watched in relation to this, the first in which they give some extremely reasonable takes about transgender people. Namely that the act of transitioning isn't natural at all and that allowing transgender women, who went through puberty as men, to compete with cisgender women is absolutely insane.

Hasan responded to this exactly how you would expect. He didn't engage with their arguments at all, in fact he didn't even watch the video. He paused a few seconds into the video and started constructing a strawman to attack. He lies as easily as he fucking breathes and it is disturbing to watch him rewrite reality in front of a live audience of tens of thousands of impressionable kids. I have to assume that his audience is kids because I don't know how anyone above age 18 and with two braincells to rub together could stand watching his content.

I think my favorite new "progressive" take that's come from this transwomen in sports discourse is that, apparently, no one really cares about women's sports. Anyone who claims to care about women's sports is lying and are just trying to harness some kind of fake outrage to "dunk" on transgender people. Left-wing progressives have now gone so woke that they've circled around to being misogynistic. They are willing to destroy women's spaces in order to appease the deranged lunatics that make up the online trans advocacy faction. Literally marginalizing women in order to allow men who think they're women to encroach on that space.

Tag me with all the rainbow/crescent moon stickers you want but if I had his level of wealth and “””clout””” I’d put it towards the local homeless shelter(s). There’s only one in my city and one in the next town over but the homeless problem is skyrocketing over here. That Hasan is far, far wealthier than he deserves is of course true, but I get the feeling that he's only able to maintain a wealthy lifestyle for himself. Hasan's house and car notwithstanding, I believe that the economic situation of people like Piker and Klein is less rosy than they'd let you believe. I just can't believe that they have the ability to properly maintain wealth, either to preserve it or expand it. Where does he get the bulk of his current wealth from anyways?

According to the twitch leaks 6 months ago he made 2.8 million dollars in the last 2 years. He was a bit smaller two years ago, so he likely makes even more money now than the aggregate would suggest. This is ignoring how much he gets from other revenue streams and his incredibly wealthy turk roach family.

Klein is a different story all together where most of their money likely comes from their god awful and supposedly popular fashion brand Teddy fresh. The Klein's are likely several degrees wealthier than Hasan who is already obscenely wealthy.

He absolutely makes enough money to give to any social or political movement, he just chooses not to because he is greedy and spends all his money on plastic garbage like the good little capitalist "communist" he is.

The 2.8 million is only what twitch pays. That doesnt count donations. 50,000 subs x $2.50 split = 125,000 per month on the lower estimate. He maintains more than 50k subs and now way he is doing 50/50 split. If he gets 3.50 thats an extra $50k. Lets just assume a 50% tax, he still earns $60,000 per month from subs. All these numbers are lower than what they actually are, so he isnt hurting for cash. Unlike cenk, hasan has no overhead other than internet. So, of course there's no way Hasan, or any streamer - or likely even every streamer - could do something properly influential like that.
