I'm convinced 99% of his fan base is made up of "God I wish that were me" neckbeards, Hollyweird types, thirsty women and horny gay dudes. If only these champagne comrades knew that there was a bald, fat little Hungarian Communist dictator who was ousted in less than a decade for his luxurious lifestyle and Stalinist rule. He rode around in a bullet-proof car, his villa had a pool, servants, a dumbwaiter, a movie room and he ate like kings. Half the country rose up against him, moderate Commies included, but the Russian bear intervened. The next one loosened the grip a little and was bloody careful to live a more proletarian lifestyle and ate pleb tier meals. People like Piker would quickly get the GULAG or the Tokarev treatment and I would love to see it.

I'm not even sure they're grifting, I think it's just that the same personality traits (entitlement, narcissism, greed) that lead them to socialism also make them chase after the most materialist lifestyle possible. The glue that holds their worldview together is just a complete and total lack of introspection, realistically, they don't know why they believe things, the fundemental axiom of their worldview is 'does it make me feel good', which is why unlike the socialists of old you hear them being weirdly pro-hedonism, because they don't want to feel bad about being hedonistic.
It doesn't matter if it actually makes you feel bad personally, the point is that it's a mark of disrespect and sets an unhealthy and toxic precedent. You have no honor if you tolerate disrespect from strangers.

It also comes down to a rules thing. If I was at work and representing a larger brand and I went on a rant telling people to fuck off or something, I'd rightly get in trouble. And that's just a swear, something that I'd say the majority of adults do naturally in conversation and isn't offensive, but it's still inappropriate in context. There's a reason many sponsored streams/videos tend to tone down the language, even if the sponsor doesn't specifically ask for it. Yeah, the standards are pretty relaxed since streaming isn't exactly a formal job, but still, there are some basic standards, like don't say racial slurs, whether overly offensive or not. If it was a case of someone pulling up an old video where Hasan said cracker, eh, I'd still probably call him a hypocrite because it goes against his "woke" narrative, but that'd be the extent of it.
But him doing it as a Twitch streamer, and not realizing that it's wrong/dumb to do it and continuing to bitch about it is him being stupid. And there's still the hypocritical element to it since he's tried to police what people say for less.

I am seriously sick of that "socialism is when no x" shit. Socialists should practice what they preach and avoid excessive consumption, especially when their source of income isn't from manual labor. It's one thing to not be living in a cardboard box sucking dicks for table scraps, but this level of luxury is pure hypocrisy.
If Hasan really believed in what he said, he should have a lower-middle class lifestyle at best and give the excess to the needy. He could have a house, but it should be a small building in a low-cost section of town, not a luxury house in Hollywood fucking Hills! He could have a car, but it should be an economy vehicle or even a lower-end pickup, not a Porsche! If this revolutionary Marxist makes more in a month than most people do in a year while keeping all of it, he is a hypocrite of the highest caliber, but I guess that is to be expected considering that Marx himself was a trust-fund punk more concerned with living big than making even the slightest sacrifice for the betterment of the underclasses.
