Yes. Times have changed. Also, Twitch recently went through an adpocalypse. If they do not at least pretend to do something, are they hungry for another adpocalypse?
Or more importantly, is Jeff Bezoz who pays all the bills via Amazon hungry for another adpocalypse?

Bezos knows it only takes irritating the wrong person long enough and he may be dragged into this shitfest. Maybe congress needs to investigate if there need to be additional regulation on amazon? Bezos let's be cool and not push any limits right now. mkay?

I don't think this is really the case. There's some leftist bullshit that's getting knocked back (a lot of the wokeness stuff) but actual left wing extremism isn't just alive and well but very popular - look at Luigi Mangione. A more likely source for a crackdown on people like Hasan is going to be Jeff Bezos pulling another move like he did on the Washington Post.
 
I don't think this is a change of how Twitch handle things, it's just that this breached the twitch/YouTube/streamer bubble and was picked up by MAGA influencers. Clearly there is a more serious amount of pressure put on Twitch here. Given that it also took days before he got banned I also wonder if they were contacted by some kind of authorities to make them feel enough heat to finally pull the plug.
 
Hasan, Vaush, Destiny all losing their careers is another sigh that nature is healing.

I was going gonna "let Hbomberguy be next" but then I realized even though I hate what he believes and I think his videos suck, he's actually way less obnoxious and destructive than any of them. So, uh, I dunno. I hope he stops being a cunt I guess but it's no skin off my ass.

Actually we do have rules against a-logging and I'm pretty sure calling for the death of someone would result in at least a threadban. As would pozloading (suggesting harassing them irl or brigading their chats or whatever).

That's not the same as laughing at people posting stupid things on the internet.

Yeah generally faggots who make death threats get threadbanned or at least shit on.

I don't feel bad about anything that happens to Hasan though, because I know he'd never extend the same courtesy to me and would be happy if I died. I believe in holding people to the same standards they hold for everyone else.
