It just says something for whether I should continue to invest more attention to something that might just go sideways or cease to exist, when the creator is apparently some kind of mega-monster of self-promotion, with an almost Tolkien-level obsession with characters you might not even ever see. She's really good at world-building, has thought a lot about the universe she's presenting.

Imagine this concept, really good world-builders have created characters with their own personalities, characteristics, desires, motivations, and plot arcs. If you're someone like Vivz, I think you will be occasionally shocked when one of your tulpas characters does something you never expected.

It should be noted that this is not always a good thing, that there is such a thing as putting too much thought into your world..... *cough* Zoophobia comic *cough*

I respect that bitching about free entertainment is pretty fucked up, but god damn there is going to be a longer break between two halves of this single episode than there was from the origin of the series to the most recent part posted.

I have been wondering about that too, especially since it came to multiple emotional resolutions which it looks hard to write yourself out of again. Only M&M and Loony really got out of this episode entirely intact (and Loony only by leaving the scene for what we assume is some BBC).

I heard something vague about how they're having issues with episode 8 according to someone from Viv's Discord server, but take that with a grain of salt. It seems like it's going to be a very effects-heavy episode; given we're still waiting, it raises the question of just how ambitious they're trying to be.

All I really hope is that the episode isn't shit. It would be a bummer they spent so much time and effort and the story just happens to fall flat on the episode that is most anticipated.

I mean, the pilot was a while ago and they aren’t involved with the project anymore. It’s very possible that they just removed their mentions because it’s not a current relevant thing anymore.

Not saying that there might not be something going on, just that don’t start jumping at shadows when there’s nothing substantial to go on.

Sometimes, you HAVE to compromise your vision in order to make your story the best it can possibly be. Case in point: the movie I referenced above, Toy Story.

No. Which is why Disney (rightfully, in this case) said "No. Scrap everything and do it all over." And what was the result of the EVUL CORPORATE REDO OF THE POOR WITTLE ARTISTS' CREATION?

When you're writing a story, have somebody look it over and when they say "no, this is shit, here's why, try again and this time do this", actually listen to what they're saying and at least act like you're acknowledging the feedback. A lesson Viv repeatedly fails at over and over again (again, I refer you to the Zoophobia comic, and how its reboot is STILL in development hell).

I mean, you guys got a point about the bio thing, but it’s just really off in my opinion. Dave’s only other writing credit (other than the show he is currently working on) is the Hazbin pilot… so I’m fairly certain someone said something or did something. Plus, for a group of animators who were quote “family” this seems off

Maybe, but it’s best to wait and see rather than immediately assume. It’s a little odd, but not really enough to be suspicious. He may just want all attention focused on his own personal thing.

That is true. Hollywood union stuff is pretty hated by those trying to break into the whole thing, so that could be a part of it. I don’t blame her for having to recast, but I do understand why people would be upset by it.

Typically if you’re vague about the “accusations”, you can just let people fill in the blanks however they want, even if they’re not true, and reap the benefits. “It’s not MY fault they think that, they came to their own conclusions!”

Like you said, people tend to think others are stupid.
