If you've ever read the Divine Comedy, Heaven is the absolute dullest part of it. I can't think of a single fictional portrayal of Heaven that sounds like anywhere you'd want to be.
Because most versions of Heaven are written by people who don't believe in Heaven and don't understand what the appeal of it is supposed to be or how its supposed to operate, or are trying to subvert its original portrayal. As for the Divine Comedy, Dante clearly was having far more fun writing Hell than Heaven, so everybody remembers that. Heaven is place of eternal reward, where the angels and humans who make it there worship God eternally in heavenly bliss. There is no more pain or war. No more crying or sadness. No more disease. No more racism or sexism. We are all just fellow worshippers of the Most High. If you are trying to write a story with real conflict, its hard to make such a perfect place interesting. Paradise Lost is far more interesting, anyway.

Well I mean the Divine Comedy was because the first part of it was Dante writing his revenge fantasies and then the rest was either jerking his own ego off or playing into his imaginary romance with his "muse"

But it's because Heaven is meant to be portrayed as the pure place where Hell is just eternal torture times meant to scare you

Yet Christians have done such a shitty job in general of advertising Heaven. You'd think it would be the centerpiece. But even boring American Christians like Jonathan Edwards ("Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God") made hellfire and damnation the focus of their preaching.

It's like Christianity is all stick and no carrot.

Even no less intellectual a Christian than C.S. Lewis makes Screwtape his most interesting character.

Also in more show-related shit why is Vaggie trying to hurl Niffty off a roof and why does Charlie save her? I suspect Vaggie actually has a reason.

ETA: One thing I notice is we now know who is the "Carmine" in the "Carmine-crafted blessing-tipped rifle" that Striker had that impressed Moxxie so much.

I thought this thread was going to be about mocking the creators and the fandom.

Instead its the fandom sperging about the show, I'm disappoint.
This is a Multimedia thread, retard. Create a Community Watch or an Internet Famous thread, if you have the balls or (more importantly) something funny.

I understand why the fandom thinks the angel Adam is Adam from the Bible (I really hope that's not Canon because that will bring up more issues with the lore) but what is up with them thinking Lilith is his ex-wife? Where did that come from?

In certain non-canon Biblical apocrypha, Lillith was supposedly the first woman rather than Eve. She wouldn't obey Adam and got kicked out of Eden, then Eve was made.

So it's not THAT ridiculous of a guess.

If I were to guess, I say Vaggie is going to be the bitchiest character in the main cast, much like Loona. And much like Loona, Vaggie will have a tragic backstory that the target audience will use to excuse her actions (when they're not cooming to Rule 34 images of Charlie and Vaggie).

Also in a slightly more serious response to this, there probably is enough (or eventually will be enough) for a Community Watch thread. I'd say anyone trying to change Angel Dust's pronouns on the wiki is probably a cow. Will Stamper (voice of Sir Pentious) is a lolcow of sorts with his own thread already.

There are at least two fairly notorious bronies involved indirectly: Gabriel (blackgryph0n) Brown, somewhat notorious for his relationship with then 16 year old Michele Creber, voice of Apple Bloom from MLP, and Yoav (The Living Tombstone) Landau, an Israeli songwriter who was one of the most prominent brony musicians before fandom-hopping to FNAF and beyond. Brown was the voice and Landau the composer of one of the more notable fan songs, Alastor's Game.

Also Brown was the singing voice for Alastor in the pilot, although this is unlikely to recur thanks to union shit.

There is incessant drama swirling around the Twitter accounts of everyone involved with the show, too.

So either get on it or just be satisfied it's almost certain there will eventually be a Community Watch thread on this fandom.

Until then, though, and probably even after it, seethe and cope that there will be Hazbin enjoyers.

I actually like Vaggie even though she's almost everything I hate. She's still the most pragmatic of the characters, much like Loona, Loona being the one who saved the book when everyone else was tarding out. She also seems to genuinely care for Charlie, while wanting to rein in her rich people naivete. Loona actually for the first time showed she genuinely cared for Blitzo in the Hollywood episode and even explained to Octavia why she shouldn't just write off her dad, as much of a loser as he is.

I think both characters have hidden reserves of rationality that the other characters need.

Also Vaggie's backstory is seriously already signaled. Two Xes on her tits and one on her eye? She got killed pretty hard and was probably involved in prostitution and maybe other forms of organized crime, much like Angel Dust.

At least it's not out of nowhere, I guess...but I still hope that won't be the case because I don't need more angsty relationship drama with another married couple. (Plus that would make Lilith a sinner? So that would be another thing Viv said that was forgotten since she said before sinners can't get pregnant.)

Lilith is actually a pretty big thing. And she was obviously enough of a "sinner" that she was excised from the canonical Bible.

I think this board became less about mocking the Fandom and covering any drama viv and Co get involved in is mostly due to how western animation was in such a downward spiral (much like western Civilization) that hazbin and helluva had the potential to be the best indie works of animation in years.

Anyone else noticed that A24 is completely silent abour Hazbin Hotel? Like, there's no post on their Twitter about the show coming out this summer or anything. They don't even retweet anything that Viv announces about the show.

Not trying to insinuate anything, but if the rumors are true that Viv is a nightmare to work with, I wouldn't be surprised if A24 releases the show as quietly as possible and can it after one season.

Maybe A24 and Bento Box manage the show's account themselves?
