Back in the day failsons with no true ambition, no faith, nothing going for them were sent to monasteries, where they either got better and became upstanding and productive or started dicking around like NEETS. The Thief and the Cobbler, though still kinda incomplete, is a hell of an artistic display. It may not have been a commercial hit, but Richard Williams really let his dick swing.

I think, what religion is for is to manipulate less intelligent individuals to forfeit the pursue of ephimeral and immediate satisfaction is self destructive that will eventually lead to its inevitable consequences and disasters, with concept such as heaven and hell possibly being a metaphor for a functional and disrupted community. You could easily remove the first 4 comandments, and still get the basis for a working society.
But I were to overanalyze helluva boss, I could say that it doesn't really show sinners facing true consequences, since hell is potrayed either as a slighty better version of california and the characters killed either disappear or return as demons.

I always thought Edward Scissorhands was his last film. Just as well though. Price died before Cobbler was released. Kind of ironic given that he played a dying inventor in Edward Scissorhands who never got to see his creation live a normal life.

Nah, you're right. I'm mistaken, it was Edward Scissorhands. I had to give Vincent Price his flowers either way. His voice is iconic and gave character to a lot of horror.

The whole camp of the One Eye scene was one big animation flex.
