I've noticed this as of late. In Baldur's Gate 3 the most popular romance for women is Astarion who just reads like fujo bait. Also holy fuck these character designs are ugly. As a rule of thumb, characters made for animation should have simple designs - the easier to animate, the better. Many of these characters have completely unnecessary details - Husk's wings and facial markings being one example, the pinstripes on many characters' suits being another. There is a marked lack of contrast in color, shape, and facial features. I could not tell you anything about most of these characters based on appearance alone. These are "nothing" designs.

Vox, despite being one of the more inoffensive designs, still irritates me a lot. Who thought it would be a good idea to give him those same face-y shark teeth? If he is from the 50s, why is screen so flat? Does she not get that the aesthetic appeal of TV heads is usually their lack of a face (Robot Kingdom from Saga my beloved)? What is with all this unnecessary visual detail? My art professor would beat my ass if I showed up to class with a character lineup like this.

Her; "Rape survivors use rape and violence as a means to cope about their trauma", reminds me of Pantsu and her justifying her lolicon fetish as a means to cope with her sexual abuse. It is bullshit and just a means to try to justify their fetish. As someone who has spoken to many women who were victims of sexual abuse and rape I've never heard of any of them fetishizing their abuse and developing a rape fetish. As for her character designs I hope I can shed some light on them as someone who is studying Early Childhood Art Education. I've noticed that these kind of colors and designs are very popular with people who suffer from autism. Children with autism have a hard time contrasting colors and shapes and make their art loud, complicated and sharp. They like to use bright colors and sharp shapes that pop instead of softer colors or smoother shapes. Has Viv talked about suffering from autism in her childhood. I'm not trying to be mean, but her designs really feel like they were made by someone who has autism.

I just don't understand the appeal of the show, I tried to initially give it the benefit of the doubt as an independent, but now, its a fucking Amazin production and it looks the same, has the same shitty designs, and the same shitty writing.

I do sorta hope that this music video ends up being Hazbin Hotels greatest legacy because frankly it's probably gonna be the most interesting thing to come out of the show, atleast for me. Beelzebub as someone's shitty furry OC and the most repetitive designs I've seen in a while isn't a show I think deserves the dignity of existing let alone having this much attention.
