The more and more I watch these shows.
The more I feel like the person who made them has a childish understanding of the concept of hell and heaven in both the Jewish and Christian faiths.

Hell is not about being a place of sin or depravity or fire. Yes those elements exist in it. But those elements only exist as a consequences of its nature. Its nature being, that It is the singular point most isolated and furthest away from God.
The God of those faiths embodies the nature of mercy and love. A love extended to each of his faithful children held close in his loving embrace for eternity. The place furthest from that mercy and love, can only be described as suffering and that is the nature of hell.

Why is adam an angel? wouldn't he be like a normal human guy or something? and the fact that both angels and demons look similar defeats the purpose of their dichotomy. Like, you could rise the argument that demons came from angels (which I thought so as well but still). Moreover, all the other angels are female which again begs the question of why adam is the only one? where the main 7 archangels? did vizie pull a japan and made them all bitches? I honestly don't know. Can't be arsed lol

If Viz was clever she could have drawn a sharp and unforgetable contrast, everyone in the show (i.e. demons) is crude, crass, swears nonstop and moves and talks like a rubber monkey on crack.

Having angels be quiet, reserved, talk slowly and clearly, and have slower and more subdued animation while never swearing, just generally being classy, would have been a big "wow" moment and also incredible memorable.

So I watched the leaked episodes for Hazbin Hotel and these are my thoughts:

This show is one big identity crisis rolled up in one. This show has literally no fucking clue what it wants to be. Is it a dark comedy about morality? Is it a horror comedy? (mainly due to Alastor's presence who is not fucking scary in the slightest and has the worst design in the entire show) Is it supposed to be a violent slapstick? Is it a dark comedy musical? I don't know what Vivienne Medrano was going for in this show other than gay fetishism and juvenile sex jokes. She cannot go more than four or three sentences without saying fuck or without mentioning some sexual reference that doesn't need to be made.

That's all I have to say. It's a show with an extreme identity crisis that seems to be five different brands of comedy at once. I wouldn't be shocked if Medrano is going through a psuedo midlife crisis at the moment (even though she's only 32(?)) and these cartoons of hers are just dollhouses for her to play with while her animators slave away making unwatchable slop that will become unprofitable in the future. This show is bad. Terrible even. And I don't plan to go any further with it than those two episodes especially if that fucking jagoff Adam is going to be the main villain in this show.

This show could have had a bright future mostly free of controversy if it didn't market itself towards tumblr women and faggots, Viv never should have went safe-edgy because it takes a lot for people into real edge to bother cancelling someone.
