Currently joined the stream of Sai and I already can see that she follows a lot of the fandom points, and pretty much just accuses people who criticize Stolitz as homophobia. Also she doesn't seem to understand that most of the people who do criticize Helluva Boss were at one point fans of the show.

I’m watching the stream too as background noise, it’s only been like five minutes and I’m already greatly tempted to watch something else. I watched some of Sai’s videos on Lily, and I guess the focus being on a worse cow distracted me from how insufferable she is.

She also is fine with saying retarded as a reclaimed slur, but let's offended when people do it with queer.

The best/worst part is that any glance at Arteice channel or social media would make it obvious she is a progressive black lgbt woman so going the route of "hating stolas = homophobia" is a bold choice.

Unrelated but this reminds me that vivzie canonized Stolas as GAY gay in the pride art meaning he's not bisexual or interested in women. It just hit me that this means Stolas never loved Stella. Sure, gay angst and no choice suck but if he was bisexual you could argued he loved a woman once but he never loved any.

Stella would never be able to make him happy, she never had a chance...

Oh god, is "she" one of those people who say "I'm self diagnosed autistic so i can say retarded"?

I glanced right now for 5 seconds and "she" goes "Wow so Stolas is wrong for wanting to explore his sexuality once in his life?" and yeah, this shit is too cringe for me, good luck to the warriors.

I really think that Stolas and Stella were initially a couple who were in love before, but it was changed after the show wanted to focus on the Stolitz drama instead of the dark office comedy. Why else would the gay man and woman who alway hated this man sleep together in the same bed even after they produced a cautionary heir, even up to the affair?

She keeps bringing up that Brandon is gay and wanted Stolitz to be end game. And all I can think is..."so?" Just because he wanted Stolitz to be a thing in the show, Viv has been mainly writing season 2, not Brandon. And even if every idea for Stolitz was Brandon's idea, that doesn't automatically make the very shitty writing suddenly okay. Just because the wirter is gay and is making a gay relationship, doesn't mean that the writing won't suck. Hell, a lot of fucking straight people can't write good straight relationships.

Firstly I refuse to belive alastor was meant to be a darkie or mulato or whatever Vivian says he is and she only added it in along side the bullshit like stollas being full blown gay and mrs. Mayberry's lesbianism because she's desperately trying to signal to people "look look how gay amd faggot friendly my show is I'm not erasing the lgbtqrstuvwxyz community from MY shows the way Disney and corporate animation is!"

Which brings me to my next point. It is so laughable that ever since public opinion began swinging away from tolerating this gay rainbow bullshit being everywhere, rather them keep it on the down low or at levels her shows had when they were still new. Vivzie started a full on pride merch drop and has gone out of her way to make her creative outlet (fittingly enough) solely about "representation " and as a result has driven away all but her most braindead consoomer fans.

clearly she's never heard the phrase "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Her work didn't need to double down on this crap, i dont know if it was the trump reelection, or the fact that is the most normal june we've had in like...forever, or just her being desperate to stay relevant, but she kept making a bad situation worse. And the pride merch drop was the nail in hazbin/helluvas coffin. Even people who had a casual investment in her work either cause it looks pretty, or has nice music and tollerated the LGBT writing because of a "live and let live" mindset, saw the pride merch fiasco and pretty much responded as such.

I'm subbed to this lady (not Sai, the tiger furry*) on YT, and she released a vid about Juneteenth recently where she bitched in the comments that other people aren't allowed to criticize the video because it's a space for BLACK people and BLACK people NEED representation in media blah blah blah.
Sai actually has issues with herself, there's a LOT of allegations against her, she's around in her mid 30s and is mainly known for her takes on Lily Orchard.

So, I dunno if its me, but theres one thing about Vox that always bothered me, is that for a guy with a TV head, he never does TV related things. Like, with Al and him being a Radio Demon his voice sounds like a radio announcer, he has background laughter, when he's mad/threatening you hear radio static. Yet, Vox never does such things, his voice never changes to say give TV static (save for one brief scene), he doesnt sound like a TV announcer/informercial seller like say Liquidator did in Darkwing Duck nor does his voice tone change to indicate a change in TV chanells. Really, he sounds very plain.

He has some very rare visual gags but ironically none of them are actually tv related but phone call and computer error.

He has vague eletrical/technologic powers but Alastor doesn't have radio powers so for vox it feels lazy.

Vox feels like he was made by a woman who never watched a culturally relevant (non cartoon) tv show but wanted to give her radio demon OC a rival and thought tv-head is a fun asthetic. There are so many dumb gags you could do like static, loss of signal, channel change, color bar etc but instead he gets watsapp and blue screen of death.

If you asked me what year he died i wouldn't be able to tell since nothing indicates that. He's some ambiguously greedy and edgy asshole who doesn't quote tv ever. Apparently it was the 50s? But then why does he have a... modern flat screen... for head? Why does he have a crooked antenna then?

>"What kind of shows does Vox watch?"
>"He'd watch.... Uuuuuh he'd watch a lot of things, he would watch game shows i feel he would watch that. He's very game show oriented. He would watch uh, i don't know i don't watch enough tv to be like 'what would he watch' i feel like he would like commercials."

Amazing.

I cannot believe Im saying this, but theres like a quick "blink and you'll miss it" moment where an old photo of him and Al, with Vox having a box TV for a head. Aaan then it raises questions: How did he become a flatscreen then? Is it because of his power? Can other Overlords do that? Did he have an operation? Is that what Viv meant by her "Vox is trans" comment, how he transitioned from being a boxxy TV set to a flat screen one?

>Makes television-themed oc
>doesn't watch tv
at least "Mike teevee" was not only a pun but roald dahl made him an obnoxious brat obsessed with the it and watched it so much he wouldn't speak to anyone while watching. THAT is how you make a character trait and actually use it.

Look it's so simple. Guy died in the 1950s just as television was catching on, maybe he was a mad man esq tv prouducer, one of the first ones, when he was alive. Was so obsessed with it he kept up with it even as time moved on in hell. Maybe even Introduced it to hell and loved it even more because unlike earth hell has no regulations or restrictions unlike 50s earth when he died.

And I just pulled all that off the top my head, it's mot much but it's something .

Better yet, he performed in blackface while he was still alive
I can imagine him going "Hello bawss, would ya fancy a nice watahmelloun?".

Not only that, he's somehow one of the homos from the 1950's. Just so happen!
Cue "What does Viv mean by this".
In all seriousness - I don't find Vox, Valentino or Velvette all that interesting. They just seem like they'll do something but then they won't do anything interesting. Like a villain who'll plan something big but then "oh well, let's not go through with it".
