but to be fair, Viv warned about recasting early on. If I'm not mistaken, she wanted to cast her own friends who are all union, so this might be the reason. Helluva is under SAG

Since she created the character and voiced her, I always just consider Vivienne to be basically Deerie. She decides who gets into Heaven and who is allowed back. Those are just the rules.

When A24 took over, the co-writer, majority of the animators, and other staff lost their jobs. The voice cast was under the impression that they would be part of the A24 project and were never told otherwise, they legit have been signing autographs as the characters as late as last week. A24 was cool with them being a part of the show.
Essentially, Viv told them all to fuck off without warning yesterday in favor of celebrities and has ostracized or downright stopped communicating with almost the entire pilot team.

Yeah this is pretty crazy, I liked the voice cast a lot. However I will also say that I liked Stolas' pilot voice a lot too and was disappointed that someone else was voicing him in the show, but he shortly grew on me too so I'm sure I'll be fine with the new voices as long as they're good. I more just feel bad for the original VA's since it must've been a huge deal to them and Hazbin was such a breakout success and now they're being kicked off that bus.

Damn I expected that Ukijoe and Stamper wouldn't be back due to their constant spergouts but to hear that Kovak and co won't be doing it really sucks, I assume we also won't see mick return as Husk.
EDIT: Then again Mick also does a lot of voicework so he might be union already.
