I watched it, can confirm. Viv also said that the series will only get darker and she wants to explore more of the characters' demonic powers like she did with Stolas in episode 6. And apparently episode 2 is going to be all about Blitzo and Fizz going through puberty.
....oh no. Zoophobia Syndrome rears its ugly head yet again.

I think the puberty comment was just Richard making an off the cuff joke.

Its probably a joke, but if he was (semi-) serious, we may just get an explanation for Blitzo's and Fizz's falling out and why they are no longer friends.
Yeah, hopefully it's just about them growing up because, surprise, I'm not really interested in knowing how demons go through puberty.

Or maybe I am. If it's funny, I'll take anything at this point.

I feel like he was semi-serious because we will obviously be seeing more of their past together, which would include them as teens. Doubt the whole episode would just be "lol puberty" though.

Fun fact: you can measure whether the powers that be still approve of Hazbin Hotel and Vivz in general.

Just search them. And obviously log out of everything and whatever if you're too dumb to know what I'm talking about you're too dumb to do it.

Watch the rankings.

Normally I would agree, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t joking either.
Fuck I forgot the teaser showing older teenage Blitzo and Fizz. They are going to have a puberty/teenager episode.

Betting that will be when Fizz loses his limbs. My question will be was it an incident Blitzo caused, or was it a freak accident but Blitzo abandoned Fizz due to the injuries severity?

I have to suspect most people in hell just don't get cool robot limbs for free, so why does Fizz get them?

Yeah that’s mainly why I assumed he wasn’t entirely joking. There’s been a lot of theories that the legless balloon horse Blitzo made is meant to foreshadow Fizz losing his limbs.

Alright so I'm trying to figure out the exact timeline of what happened with season 2 episode 1 because it confuses me to no end. So after the affair and Stolas claiming a divorce, the argument from season 1 episode 2 happens later that morning, right?
Then where does the first episode go? Does it go after episode 2? That couldn't be right because the first episode establishes the transaction of the book with sexual favors being confirmed. Thats why in episode 2 when Stolas calls Blitzø, Blitz thinks he's asking him to come over for sex and is nonchalant about the whole thing. It wouldn't make sense for Stolas to call him right after the affair and book was stolen that morning to be his bodyguard.
Also, Octavia states that Stolas is the one to ruin the home so that means the affair had to have happened way before then. She wouldn't be blaming Stolas for her mother's constant screaming if this was going on before his cheating.
Viv, I understand that Stolas is probably your favorite character right now and that you are trying to put him under a favorable light to the audience, but the more you do that, the more the writing for this show is going to suffer.

As with everything we have insufficient information. However my general assumption was that S1E2 takes place several months, maybe even years, after S2E1. That the events of the middle half of S2E1 are a general "background" to everything else that happens with Stolas and Blitzo. S1E2 taking place the day after would make no sense.

I thought so too. Hopefully it just means I was interpreting what Viv said wrong, instead of the writers being that incompetent.

Dunno if I'm restarting an argument here, but I waited until now to see the episode so, whatever. I disliked the latest episode because it really felt like taking the easy way out of Stolas's relationship with Stella.

I do not however believe it was done just to push a gay couple. I think cowardly is too strong of a word to use though, its more like. I dunno. Taking the easy route I guess. The show isn't ruined for me or anything, just cheapened.

Personally I also dislike the idea that Stolas and Blitzo actually knew each other as kids, but that's a personal bias I have against that kind of storytelling. I actually found child Stolas relatable since I was the same kind of kid who wanted to talk about nature books and bore everyone to death.

Overall though a lot of it just took me out of the whole story, which is surprising since S1E7 really took me into the show and was probably one of the more serious episodes they've done so far. I was kind of looking forward to this one after that specifically because it would expand on Stolas more, but now he feels like a less complex character.
