I like both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss because of the character designs and the fact that the hell in their universe isn't just fire and brimstone.

Can't believe I'm saying this....I actually prefer Zoophobia's Lucifer design a lot more.

Hazbin's design is a bit....basic? I get that he's suppose to resemble Charlie, and the apple on his hat and staff is a subtle and nice, touch, but really?! You couldn't at least give him horns?!

I actually appreciate the white aesthetic, but I always like the 'Devil is a looker'/'paradise lost' schtick.

Lucifer being one of Gods chosen, and if my bible-fags can correct me, was even the best looking, it never made sense to me that becoming fallen would suddenly turn him into the horned, snarling goat we see in so much media. Beyond that, it fits to Lucifers job as a tempter. Ask yourself, which would you sell your soul to?

Remember Charlie also has horns in her demon form, so it's likely we won't see them until Lucifer gets mad.

He looks more like Alastor than Charlie. Of course, Alastor may be outright imitating him. It's also a bit sus that Charlie is so dazzled by someone who looks like her dad. . .

Correct. Lucifer is depicted as handsome in many iterations, so I've always thought his design was perfectly fine. He's dapper yet clearly sinister, plus he's even got the snake and apple in his hat.

The Bible itself says that Lucifer/Satan is capable of transforming himself into an angel of light, indicating that he still has his heavenly glory, even in Hell. Having him be a dapper gentleman actually fits his biblical characterization as a charismatic leader capable of convincing 1/3 of all angels to rebel against God. I actually hope that his full demonic form isn't the classic "red guy with horns and goat hooves" look. The Bible several times describes Satan as being like a dragon, specifically in Revelations reiteration of the war in heaven:

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

From what I can tell, something got the hate mob worked up and were apparently throwing all kinds of accusations and threats at her. Wasn’t the best idea to break on social media about it, but I can’t say I don’t understand cracking under the pressure of people like that.

I think she probably meant that the harassment over the redesign was what made her snap, but her reasons for snapping were more about how that particular part of the internet has vilified her so much over almost nothing.
