Have to admit, this is a much more interesting and funny dynamic. But lesbian coomers gotta be lesbian coomers I suppose. *sigh*
Say what you want about Viv's old work, but her portrayel of her characters were definitely much better than what they became. They aren't perfect for sure, but their designs and personalities have a certain charm to them that feels more organic and real. Maybe someone else can explain it better than me.
In other Vivienne news, she blocked the YouTuber, JLongbone, even though J does not have a clue as to why. Speculations range from a block chain, J's wrongthink on trannies, or her association with EFAP.

As someone who watches JLongborne from time to time, I don't think I ever heard her mention Viv or Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss once in any of her videos. Though now, I kind of want her to make a video...

Here. One of the Twitterati actually thought along the same lines.
TL;DR: In this poster's opinion, Vivz' style/humor has gotten less unique over the years and said poster is more bewildered than disappointed.

When people say that Chaggie feels forced - and it is - this is what we mean.
Maybe this is a male thing but all the long-term lesbo couples I've ever known come across exactly like this, as friends, with minimal displays of amorousness. A sort of Gertrude Stein/Alice B. Toklas thing.

Yeah, I'm not surprised Viz would block someone like Jlongbone simply because Jlongbone has many videos mocking the left and LGBT+ for their insane views.

So, of course, Vizi, who has proven time and time again to be an insane leftist, would despise Jlongbone for the sin of being mean to the LGBT+.

>puts gay people in actual Hell for her show
>blocks somebody for being anti-LGBTQ

You cannot make this shit up.

Despite having all the bingo squares for a show that I would ordinarily hate HB really is quite enjoyable and well put together. Even as it continually threatens to disappear up it's own ass in a puff of owl melodrama. Which is a shame as the creepy, horny fanbase and edgy Tumblresque character design make me very hesitant recommend the show to anyone IRL. I would say that season 2 would be make or break but it has already acquired the critical mass of thirsty Fujoshi to sustain itself until Viv inevitably gets cancelled for making a show where all gays go to hell.

So far season 2 feels like the writing team didn't have an outline for the "non-plot" episodes. Either that or the more I.M.P centric episodes are/were taking longer to produce which is why we got two (three if you count the missing finale) character heavy episodes right after each other. I like Stolas, but three episodes of him in a row really drags without a Murder Family in between them to break up the mood.

The more we see of Blitzo and Stolas' relationship the more unsettling it gets. Some of it is definitely obvious commentary about toxic relationships and some of it feels more ambiguous. It's like the writers haven't fully decided whether or not they actually want the ship. Like in a sitcom where every season they have that "will they? won't they?" shit but instead of that we're going back and forth on whether or not Blitzo and Stolas have a chance at a healthy relationship. My suspicion is that they're course correcting the story based on what they perceive the fans want. Fans want Stoblitz. Blitz is central to the show and Stolas is central to Blitz. Stolas was originally presented sketchy but charming (A fucking testament to Bryce Pinkham's VA if anything). Adjusting the perception of Stolas' character requires a lot of screen time due to the way that Stolas was introduced in the pilot. As such a lot of time now needs to be spent adjusting Stolas' character. The people demand a soft gay romance, so we must whitewash some of Stolas' dirty laundry. "When the ducks quack, feed them"

Stella having some more nuance could go either way. To me her character reads as being bitter as much as she is proud, angry and aloof. The infidelity was the cause of the divorce, but even before the reveal (rewrite?) that she hated Stolas before the imp fucking I got the impression that their marriage was on rocky ground. The framed portrait of her choking a dog (lol) suggests that she was always the person we see at the current point in time in the show. This feels antithetical to shows themes of trauma and abuse shaping people. It would be a weird choice by the writers to throw Stella's cards down and have them spell out "She was always a bitch, lol" and have her be an angry voice on the other end of a telephone for the rest of the series. Octavia not outright hating her suggests that Stella has some redeeming features - that there's some other side to Stella that we, the audience, don't see because we're experiencing the divorce from Stolas' perspective. Being trapped in the marriage depresses Stolas as it enrages Stella. They're two sides of the same coin. Maybe Stella didn't want the arranged marriage either. Maybe she had someone she genuinely loved but was forced to leave them and subsequently resented Stolas for it. The most interesting angle, in my opinion, would be writing their marriage similar to the one in ASOIAF between Cersei Lannister and Robert Baratheon. Where, at some point, she genuinely felt something for him but they slowly grew apart over time to the point where eventually despised each other. I don't think we need a "The Circus" for Stella or anything now that Stolas has been emancipated, but it would be fun to have a little thread to pull on. You could probably set up any of those plot points in under 30 seconds of flashback. Hell even a bunch of still images in quick succession. Of course the other side to making Stella less sympathetic is that her cartoonishly abusive personality makes Stolas look like less of a dick for cheating on her which seems to be what the writers are going for.

With that being said I'm a sucker for soppy romances. Watching a show about people that love each other is a nice nice reprieve from the fucked current state of the world. I'd rather have a show about growth and overcoming your shitty past/self than no show at all. If that's the story the team genuinely wants to tell then more power to them. Based on the quality of the show so far I think there's a lot of sincerity going in already.

P.S. Give Millie something to do other than stare off into the middle distance. I swear every scene she's in that's not her beating someone up, she's fucking staring into space with that goofy smile like she's having an acid flashback to her time in the Einsatzgruppen.

Sorry to double post, but they're actually owning up to it, chalking it up to "reclaiming Hell":

You know, kinda like how black hoodrats call each other the gamer word all the time because they're "reclaiming" it, but God forbid a white person calls them that, then it's "rayciss".
>TV show about Hell
>Everyone there is gay
What did she mean by this?

The "reclaiming" stuff has always been dumb for me. Like wow words only have as much power as you let them and you can just CHOOSE not to let a word hurt your feelings? I can just set boundaries for myself and decide I wouldn't care if a friend called me a fag or retard in jest????

Like slurs are slurs and getting bullied sucks, but they act like they're at the forefront of a revolution because of this.

Also watched Just Stop's video on Helluva boss and mostly agree. I thought harping on the human disguises thing is kind of nitpicky just cuz I think them w/o disguises adds comedy to their unprofessionalism but yeah.

I also agree about his opinion on Stolitz. Would've been better if they focused more on Blitz and Loona's relationship and using that to help work out his issues.
