Uh-oh Viv is mad we're calling out her yaoi fanfic show

Viv, sweetie, take my advice here:

SHUT THE FUCK UP!

Get off of Twitter and stop constantly whining about people not liking your show. Grow the fuck up. I swear, she is really falling apart. I don't know how she'll be able to handle the criticism of Hazbin when it comes out.

I really hate this new notion that fanfiction is some pioneering activism equivalent to stonewall as opposed to a self-indulgent hobby. I blame Dana Terrance and similar creators for convincing teens that yelling at networks for not wanting gay sex in a kid's show is punk and literally saving the gays. It why you see an uptick in SJW art "fixing" characters and "reclaiming" canon.

Gay ships were never the majority back then, and as a whole the amount of M/F and M/M fanfics are about the same with F/F stuff barely being there. Which makes it funny when these types claim fanfic has always been progressive and fic-bashing is homophobic.

She really has to bring the ego down a bit and just delete twitter all together

making all Deadly Sins to the Goetias seems silly as they are already a poorly thought out group with sporadic impact and their poorly written rules only apply to Stolas in particular, sometimes. This family doesn't matter beyond what affects Stolas and adding the Sins won't fix that as they are already basically independent.

Also, the Deadly Sins won't appear in HH? why? Lucifer will and they're his former circus troupe who are apparently like family and they're not going to appear in the show where he's going to be introduced as an entertainer nostalgic about his past? Priorities Vizvie
This also opens more questions to the lore such as if the Sins are related to Stolas but not "blood related", what the fuck does that mean? Were they all part of Lucifer's inner circle when he rebelled against God, which is why they're powerful demons? Are they powerful enough to keep Overlord demons like Alastor at bay and if not, why haven't the Overlords taken over the Pride Ring since that is where both shows are mainly set?

yeah, the Goetias are ranked higher than the Overlords, but Valentino is described as one of the most powerful demons in hell and Carmilla controls the angel weapons market, the weapons capable of weakening and killing the noble demons, but they are also below Alastor's power level. Overlords have more defined jobs because they are based in industries, but Goetias just have nobility™ more as an aesthetic than a function, they are generic rich people/celebrities rather than politicians and landlords.

the only reason for this is that sinners are limited to only inhabiting the Pride Ring, but Stolas lives in Pride and I.M.P operates there too, but we haven't heard of any Overlords ruling there because what would be the logic of a Prince not ruling his territory, but we also don't know anything about what Stolas does for a living—he shows up at events, maybe predicts the future, and maybe does business in the human world.

the rest of the family should rule other lands in Hell, with 72 members ( even more if we include spouses and children of each) and only 7 countries-size Rings and with how powerful they should be it makes no sense for the position of Overlord to be important as they are in Hell, but that must be because Vivzie created them first and only included the Goetias around Stolas (including the fact that they are all birds, minus a few Sins). Maybe the Deadly Sins are appointed to their positions because of nepotism, which would explain them just fucking around, but the rest of the Goetia is the same, just parties and backstabs.

at this point any faction is as powerful, influential and efficient as it needs to be for the plot, which would be ok if the story wasn't in the service of a half-baked melodramatic romance, and I still don't understand how a mafia and a prison exist in this hell .

Take these with a grain of salt, of course, but considering the accuracy of the past leaks, at least a few of them have to be correct.
Oh yeah. I was going to mention those leaks since I know someone who is a patron and confirmed them for me. Viv does change her mind on things though, so we'll just have to wait and see if she keeps it.

Some of things that were also revealed:
Viv no longer owns the complete rights to Hazbin Hotel
Mammon is only fat as a "fuck you" to the people who said she can only draw one body type
Hazbin Hotel will be more adult then Helluva Boss

I mean, that's not exactly a big reveal there, Viv. Everyone knows about A24's involvement.
Mammon is only fat as a "fuck you" to the people who said she can only draw one body type

How, exactly? Is she insinuating there's going to be more gore and explicit nudity/sex?

I assume Viv means they're more of a found family because they all allied with Lucifer. Beelzebub mentions in the season 1 finale that Satan is like a brother to her but not literally her brother.

I guess she forgot she created Bambi. (Actually, why not use HER design for Beezlebub? Certainly fits the "gluttony" aspect a lot more. Oh, Ke$ha OC, never mind.)

>Viv wanted to make Hazbin 4 seasons
Oh yeah, it's legit. How do I know this? Because she had similar delusions of grandeur for Zoophobia. She wanted Zoophobia to be a 10-book series. No I'm not joking. I wish I could find the screenshot for it.
The thread would appreciate that screenshot if you could find it. Its almost tragic how believable your statement is even without it though.

Hazbin from its inception gave me this vibe of a late teen's first big personal project where every idea they thought was cool got thrown in, so the length kept increasing to accommodate those ideas and give the the creator enough wiggle room to make it all work... probably, maybe, hopefully. The problem is this is a delusional 'solution' that goes hand in hand with "It will all work itself out, don't think about it," because it lets you revel in and idealize the ideas you like without being brought down by whether they fit cohesively. Or are even good ideas in the first place.

That's what happened to me when I was younger. My opinion is now to never aim for more length because nobody thinks your ideas are as amazing as you yourself do. This transcends all mediums, from books to films to video games. A work is only as long as it needs to be to cover everything you want told, no more, no less, and the kicker is its usually better if it is less. That means going into a project with a healthy caution towards increases in scope and accepting cool ideas that don't fit need to go on the shelf for revisiting in future projects if you even remember them by then. Its a lesson that bruises the ole ego something fierce, once again what happened to me, but I've found it is one of the best things I've ever learned creatively.

I believe anyone is capable of learning this lesson at any age: Vivienne included, even if it would be a little late, but I can understand her blinders for this project specifically considering just how long she's had these characters in her head and heart. Its just sad to see a project with so much potential have most of that potential go up in smoke, and that is with or without the recent rumors/leaks being true regardless... flight of fancy effort post over.

oh fuck this is REAL real.
I called it that they were probably like "She's got some freaks masturbating over her pilot or whatever, give her a season and then get her the fuck out of here." with the zero marketing A24 was doing and how there seemed to be a sentiment that no one in the industry actually liked Viv that much compared to other indie creators, along with why she seems way more defensive over HB as of late compared to back then when everyone was talking about Loo Loo Land.

Hell, the reason Helluva Boss' world building makes even less sense when you compare it to Hazbin's might be because she wants to make it further her own thing since she no longer has any rights to HH, and now HB is set in some strange limbo that's "Totally the same hell, but nooo look, legally it's a different hell that has rings and bee wolves and shit"
That's what happened to me when I was younger.
Me too, actually.
It's probably happened with EVERYONE who's started writing, especially when they really believe their first draft is gonna be some awesome and grand story with a ton of lore that they have 76 contradicting ideas for. But eventually we all come down and realize it's not as simple as that and realistic expectations for what you want to write and what you can write are important. Viv seemingly never came down and is still riding that first draft high to this day.

She reminds me of YandereDev in this aspect. They both keep bloating their stories with more and more ideas that sound cool in their heads and they never have a stopping point for it. Because of this you get something that is a confusing and long mess.
And just like YandereDev, even though she SAYS she's changed, she really hasn't.

EDIT: wait a goddamn minute.
Because of this you get something that is a confusing and long mess.
Confusing? Yes.
Long?

nigga, she said herself she didn't even get halfway through ZP's first book before calling it quits.

I guess I should have said "would" have been long if we go with Zoophobia being 10 books long. The real question is was the narrative she had planned for it really need to be 10 books long.

And now we can apply that question here: Does the narrative of Helluva Boss really need to be 4 seasons long?

The narrative barely needed to be 2 seasons long, and we already got that.
